I’m doing a complete renovation was so excited to be able to get reclaimed teak floors at Timberworks in Temecula. I was able to see the floors I purchased as they have a large sample upstairs in their showroom. I was told is was the last of Prefinished teak. Went home to think about it as it was a lot of money . A few days later I was contacted and told someone else was interested in making the purchase but they wanted to check with me before selling to anyone else. When I arrived to make the purchase I was quoted A dollar a foot higher than previous I called her on it she said it was a price increase but quickly got it waived for me. I was not ready for install but decided to go forward with my purchase I was assured no problem to leave there till ready for installation. Finally the big day came I was using the installer they recommended to me Matt so he picked up the material and delivered same day as he was installing. We left as we have dogs and we all needed to stay out of the way. Matt says he installs according to Timberwors suggestions. They put the finish on the floor a polyurethane coating. To our surprise it looked awful. Imagine old wood floors with a dusty film & numerous light colored dirty spots. I called Timberworks they came out & met with installer at my house. They immediately said he had put the wrong finish on the floor and that it had reacted with the floor. These light colored smudge marks were not on the flooring in their showroom they also used a polyurethane coating just had a little more gloss. My installer also installed the showroom floor. The installation itself was very well done nice tight corners. Timberworks was not willing to do anything kept putting it on the installer. The installer Matt was gracious enough to redo the finish to match the flooring in showroom. They come out much better finally got rid of the dusty look. At first even the smudges looked somewhat better. In couple of days all the dirty smudges were very visible. The installer said he could change out boards as necessary but would be about $3,000 for 25 boards. VTW would not come out to measure them or pay for labor to change them. Timbers said they would supply boards but no labor. Mind you it cost just shy of 18,000 for the purchase & install of 700 Sq. Ft. Bottom line the floor boards I received were substandard to the ones in their showroom. They do not stand behind their product. Very disappointed being forced to seek other methods for customer...
Read moreMy wife and I have always loved the look of reclaimed wood and have been talking for years about adding it as an accent wall in our living room. If we had known the process was this simple we would have done it years ago. Matt Roberts and the team at Vintage Timberworks are a dream to work with. We went in with an idea of what we wanted and Matt took the time to show us all the possible finishes and share his knowledge with us. We ended up going with a reclaimed barn wood that looks amazing. You can see the age in the wood, the old nail holes, the imperfections, and the finish Matt recommended is exactly what we were looking for. I would definitely recommend Vintage Timberworks and using them for any of your...
Read moreOur dealings with Vintage Timberworks was amazing from start to finish. The showroom is very impressive. You can see first hand what you are getting. I researched timbers for almost 8 months for new construction and am so glad I went with them. We ordered box beams, a mantle and timbers for 2 room openings and we could not be happier. Carmen was incredible to work with. Dealing with Companies when you don't live in the area can be difficult, but Carmen went above and beyond to assist us and ensure we got exactly what we wanted. I would highly recommend them if you are looking for quality craftsmanship. Thank you Vintage...
