As a very frequent customer of Menards I will now be shopping at Lowe's.
Went to get play sand to fill my son's sandbox. We went to purchase the sand ahead of time so we could load it into the back of the car from the back of the store. The cashier couldn't find the sand on her app and told us to go take a photo of it and bring it to her. We did. She rings it up and we pay for it as she explains the app isn't updated which is why we had to go take a photo of it. I don't believe that's true, we did this two months ago for a separate project and had no issues. Whatever, we take the receipt and drive to the back of the store. The woman running the gate in the back tells us we can't come through because we don't have a ticket. She instructed us to go back into the store and get a ticket and refuses to even look at the receipt. We ask if we could just walk through the gate to get into the store quicker to get the ticket where she then angrily screamed at us, telling us she will not let us through without a ticket. We drive to the font of the store again. We walk all the way back to the end of the store to get the ticket but decided we didn't want to drive all the way back around again and deal with any more ridiculousness. So we loaded our cart with our 12 bags of sand and pushed it through the whole store and all the way back out to the car. Again, we have loaded for pickup at this location many times this year and have had no issues until today. Uncalled for and completely disrespectful to customers.    Read moreOk! So we spent $13,700.00 on Klearvue kitchen and bathroom cabinets! The girl who initially sold them to us made it sound easy peasy. Please know that it absolutely is not! We were told it was a 99.00 delivery fee. Paid everything. We get a call from Menards that we were quoted wrong and delivery fee is $350.00 and the cabinet person should not have quoted us a fee. So I pay delivery fee because at this point I feel like I have no choice because product is being held hostage. They give a 20 minute heads up they are coming, husband leaves work but the dropped everything on the front porch. You could not make it to the front door to get into the house. Contacted Menards and the guy we spoke with basically said to bad! Called 2nd time to speak to manager and he wasn’t working called again and he was not there! Husband proceeds to go to Menards and talk to him and nothing! Never received the countertops because apparently you have to approve them which nobody ever mentioned, had no idea about this step. My frustration is that we liked Menards and enjoyed going but after this and never receiving a call back from all the messages to correct it I am beyond frustrated.    Read moreHad a very frustrating problem. We bought nearly $3000 of flooring from Menards and upon opening the boxes, discovered almost half of it was damaged. When I called, got a hold of Taylor at the front end and she was wonderful! She had the flooring dept get a pallet of new flooring together and was prepared to make the exchange for me and give me 11% rebate for the hassle. While processing this exchange, Tyler (another front end manager) came up and wanted to grill me with dumb questions about how this happened, how we discovered it and wanted to inspect the damages (without lifting a finger to actually look at the damages). I told him exactly what happened, instead of keeping the flooring on 3 pallets like we were told, your people stacked it all on one pallet and barely wrapped it. We pulled out of pick up yard and the whole pallet collapsed and we had to spend over an hour restacking it. Your lack of care damaged it. And instead of just letting Taylor fix it, you want to come up to me and grill me like I want to haul 2700 pounds of flooring around for fun.
