Great little park. Decent play ground equipment. Falls aren’t much for sight-seeing but nice nature walks and things. Store/cafe doesn’t seem to be used much anymore. Bathrooms are usable but a bit run down (typical public park bathrooms). Park manager is super nice, talked to him a bit. You can reserve the pavilion and camp here. The phone doesn’t always work. He said if that happens, call the correctional facility (aka prison) nearby and they should be able to patch you through.

First: I have been to the Falls probably 200 times in the past 18 years. I have NEVER seen a poisonous snake there. There are some watersnakes there sometimes but they are harmless. This place is an amateur naturalists heaven. If the water is low you can wade and see all kinds of aquatic wildlife, fowl and even the occasional otter or beaver. And of course deer. A real hidden gem for the true outdoor enthusiast.

This was one of the best places to come to go cool off and enjoy cookouts and all your friends would be here. I haven't been out there in years because they charge you to go in and the main reason is that the back side was sold! And the rights to the river and the state county road to the river has been cut off to the public! I don't understand how a state park can number taken from the people if the town. And why didn't tax payers get a say so? I just saw what was done to the only place we had to go to that have...
