Wynnwood Park — Local services in The Colony

Not the most exciting park in the world (for walking--the golf course looks great), but potentially worth a visit. Several miles of wide, well maintained walking trails are available. The sights aren't anything to write home about, but I spotted a surprising number of large and small birds while I was there. It's a good, easy walk.

I recommend parking just before you turn right to head towards the clubhouse. The trail entrance is in the corner of that turn towards the clubhouse right off...

First time running the trail. Packed dirt with some loose stone. Very flat and easy. I suspect it gets muddy with rain, but it was mostly dry today. Markers every 1/4 mile. If you're looking for a place to enjoy nature and some quiet time, you're better off watching National Geographic at a Chuck E. Cheese. I walked down the heavily littered "Nature Path" for a little bit, got tired of dodging golf carts. Maybe I should have stuck it out and walked further, but my nerves...
