Movies 10 - Fun Barn — Local services in The Plains

Vinny did such an amazing job for me, I tried to be an awesome dad while mom was working overnight, and go to watch his first movie in a movie theater by myself. Sadly the night was ruined for my almost 3 year old.

He was so excited to go see Pikachu on the big screen. We waited 20 minutes in line to get some popcorn, sour patch kids, and a Pepsi. Never whined, didn't bump into people, and was awesome in line. Then we proceeded to theater room 6, where we sat through the Dark Phoenix, and Secret life of pets 2 previews FOUR times, each time it froze at the end of the trailer. He still did amazing, calmly eating his snacks and mimicking the previews, as he had them burned into his brain.

They told us to go back to the lobby and get our money back for the tickets. Not our time wasted, or the fact we were now going to be late for bedtime, no compensation, except the tickets. Hell, not even an apology. I'm so glad there was kids in that theater, or else I probably would have made a huge scene. It wasn't about me, it was about destroying my kids first time in a movie theater. It broke my kids heart and seeing it in person was not easy.

There was another girl, I'm bad with ages, maybe 12. By herself in the theater, her friends were watching another movie. I had to lend her my phone to call her family, because she had no phone, and no money. So after Vinny and I played a few of their games that actually work in there, I gave her the rest of the play card so she had something to do while she waited for her friends. Her night was ruined as well.

I'm so beyond frustrated, that this business, no matter how cheap their tickets are, couldn't take care of their customers. We'll try again soon, because I think he's ready, unfortunately, they weren't ready for us. I haven't stepped foot in that building for probably 18 years, and I'll never step foot in it again.

Cheap seats; Don't buy online!!

This movie theater was our choice because it is inexpensive and you can buy your tickets online. Convenient, right?

WRONG.

Even though my bank account showed the charge for 4 tickets and I had email receipts with conformation numbers for 4 tickets, they "could not find" my tickets. Spent 35 minutes running around only for the management to say "sorry, don't know what to tell you."

The lack of concern with the fact that they had my money but wouldn't let us in to the theater was very frustrating. Their pathetic attempt at an apology was a shrug of the shoulder an a "sorry about your luck" attitude.

With no offer to make it right, our night ended with no movie and a very terrible opinion of the ownership and management.

Go there to buy your tickets, online purchasing is a rip off and the customer service is horrendous. Now I get to spend time disputing the charges for the movie I didn't get to see.

Don't expect anything more than a cheap movie here and DON'T BUY YOUR MOVIE TICKETS ON...

We are from out of town coming to the Hocking Hills area for a nice little weekend getaway. We decided to find a theater to see the new Inside Out 2 movie and the Fun Barn & Movies 10 popped up first on our Google search. Our original plan was to see the movie Friday night but plans changed so we decided to come Saturday. We purchased online tickets and there was a little mix-up with our purchase. To preface, there was no phone number to call in advance so we took the gamble of showing up to talk to staff in person. The staff & management quickly and kindly helped us with our issue, we saw Inside Out 2, and had a fantastic experience doing so. Tickets are much more affordable than normal AMC theaters that surround our area. So is the food and snack bar! The theater was clean, comfy, spacious, and same for the arcade we got to enjoy afterward. We will definitely be recommending this place to friends coming to the area and we hope to be back during our frequent getaway...
