Made a trip to this candy store recently. The store has a good variety of products. If you look at it on a per pound basis, some of the candy was quite expensive. That's not necessarily an issue, as comparable stores that have handmade candy are just as expensive.

The issue is that there was quite a bit of money spent on various items purchased, and incorrect products were received. For example, chocolate covered peanuts were ordered, the counterperson placed candy in the package from a container labeled with the specified candy, and once outside the store, some of the candy was consumed. The chocolate covered peanuts turned out to be peanuts covered in peanut butter, covered in chocolate. Other items ordered for purchase were chocolate mint squares and chocolate peanut butter squares (called melt-aways, if I recall). When consumed back at home, half of the squares turned out to be chocolate covered coconut squares. There was no coconut candy ordered when purchasing. This raises the concern of folks with specific food allergies potentially having an issue if they purchase something and end up receiving something else entirely. I also have to think there could be a separate issue if someone orders and purchases something labeled at a more expensive price but ends up with a less expensive candy in their bag.

Love this place alot! Lots of candy choices for everyone. Candy from our youth all the way to candy you see in the grocery stores. Plenty of chocolate in neat designs for any occasion you can think of. Glass case has many more delicious chocolates. There's also a large variety of wines from Wisconsin, maple syrup, popcorn, pretzels and dips. They also offer a large variety of food, meaning that even the pickiest eater will find something. Make sure to save room for the variety of Cedar Crest ice cream flavors, shakes, malts & sundaes. Prices are in line with what you'd pay in a restaurant & the portion sizes are adequate. Thursday, Friday & Sat breakfast is served beginning@730am. It's worth a drive out to Theresa, WI & check out what's all inside. Your sure to leave with something.
