Dollar General — Local services in Thomaston

DG is very convenient, but here lately not so much due to not having stock as in trash bags, dog treats paper towels, toilet tissue, Kleenex. Also several other things I buy. I don't care for walmart and much rather shop at DG for these items. This is why I am only rating 3 star's at this time. I know due to the fact of the covid-19 was a big issue of giving out of many items but this has become a big problem with every DG not having so many items not in stock also at several of the Dollar General location are pure filthy along with merchandise setting all over and not put up stocked on shelves, this may be the reason the shelves are empty and I'm told by employees that you are out of items and they do not even check the stock room or the pallets or stack of boxes that hasn't been opened to be put up. Now I am doing more shopping at family dollar, walmart, Rose's walgreens...

Been sitting outside of store waiting for it to open....during regular hours. There is a sign that says its closed because of a work truck. There is no work(delivery) truck anywhere. This store is obviously understaffed and there is only 1 person working frantically trying to put up stock that was delivered over an hour ago. Dollar General Corporate, you can't keep your stores adequately staffed because your pay rate STINKS! Grow a sack and PAY your freaking people a fair freaking wage! It's not rocket science. This is one of the few dollar generals where the cashiers are nice and friendly and speak to you saying Welcome to Dollar General. I have been to one or two that said nothing when I walked in. I noticed they spoke to the next person that came in after me saying Welcome to Dollar General. After about 5 times of that happening to me I quit shopping at those Dollar General's. The one in Pike County, Georgia (Zebulon), the female and male cashiers were unfriendly to me and to me and my mom and to me and my two grandbabies on those 3 seperate times recently BUT were friendly to the people behind us that were next in line.
