Thompson's Station Farmers Market — Local services in Thompson's Station

About 10 yards behind the food vendors under a cement slab is a Coyote den with Coyote scat on top of the slab. 10 Yards behind that is a water trough that is full of water and generating thousands on top of thousands of mosquitoes. The 4 foot high weeds directly behind the vendors are infested with tics. With West Nile Virus sickening people and at least one death in Nashville I am shocked that the city staff, Wendy Deats (city planner), Richard King (codes inspector), Joe Cosintini (town administrator) along with Cory Napier (Mayor) have so far ignored the letters I sent them detailing the public health hazards. The callous disregard for the health of citizens and visitors demonstrated by the city's employees and leadership should prompt a boycott of the Farmers Market until such time as the town remedies the situation. They have a small and eclectic mix of vendors and a few farmers. The location is quite interesting but it is indoors, which considering that the pandemic is still raging doesn't seem like the best move. Most people were also not wearing masks so I'm very hesitant about visiting again. It was very packed and felt like a lot of booths jammed into a tight space.

The parking situation is also not very organized. Multiple times, I witnessed two cars coming from the opposite direction head on. Perhaps better signage in the parking lot to direct the flow of traffic might help?

I am hoping since this was the first market of the season they are feeling their way through these logistical issues and the future markets would be better organized. I would highly recommend they move outdoors, at least on days when the...

This farmers market is cute. There is a nice enclosed pavilion for off weather days and it is open sided for warm days The vendors vary from home made mix of nicnaks and jewelry to real fresh off the farm goods Handicapped accessible Bathrooms for all but not the cleanest I recommend the home made bread And farm goods the most Worth a visit!!
