Thompson is my home track, and still my favorite.
The atmosphere is very friendly, while still competitive. The racers have become my friends and family.
They host an annual charity race to benefit local nonprofits, which is a great event to attend.
As they’ve come under new ownership in 2022, while maintaining the same operational staff, TKR is in a position to become even better than it was before.
There is an on-sight parts provider on racedays, so bending something doesn’t mean your day is over.
They make it very easy to get involved. If you’re in Northeast Ohio, and you wanna climb the ladder of motorsport, TKR is an excellent place to start. I even raced against a future NASCAR Cup Series driver here when I...
Read moreVery disappointed in the track and facilities. The website does not have pricing and lacks important information about the Gasser reunions event. Some of the racers got socked at the entire gate, one man said he paid $200 because he had 2 cars. 1 Dragster and helper paid $115 and was told there is no purse or class, that's a awful lot of money just for some fun runs. Some people left before the Saturday races even started. The appearance of everything at the track is run down. The wooden bleachers seem to have wood that is very old, broken up, and infested with carpenter bees. Other metal structures are very Rusty and and if there is paint somewhere it is peeled or missing. The...

New bleachers, new staging lanes, new entrance, revised return lane. $20 on a Wednesday night and I can run my daily driver. I have run there numerous times and get plenty of passes in as long as I'm there when the gate opens (usually 5+ passes) Occasionally there are crowded nights and I only get a couple passes in. Overall, I always have a blast. The crowd is friendly, food is so-so, and the track crew is knowledgeable. Well...
