One of the top experiences of my life! The number of new exotic sports cars and super cars is mind-blowing. Even their trainer cars are new muscle cars! I drove a new Corvette, which is my favorite car, and it was better than I could have imagined. It definitely can sit with the Porsches and Lamborghinis. The track was a quick mile and a half. It has plenty to twists to keep you focused on getting the correct line. The only drawback is the back-straight isn't very long and you break just over 100mph, so this track is probably more about the apexes than the speed. The professional driver that went along for the ride was expertly knowledgeable of the track and guided me through the best way to take the turns. He was also very friendly. Speaking of friendly, all of the staff I encountered throughout the process, from check-in, to taking control of the car, to check-out, were very nice and accommodating. The video of the drive was stored on a USB that they hand you when you check in. I paid $65 for it and I found it to be worth the price. It shows views look out onto the track and a shot looking into the cockpit. We watched the video as soon as we got back home. It was such a a fun time, topped only by the day I got a flying...
Read moreThis was awesome!! Bought as a gift to someone else but I still had fun. Now onto the reason for 4 stars. 1st thing: the "Full throttle" package which states unlimited photos and videos was just 2 photos and a single video. I do love the photos and the video, but $114 for 2 photos and 1 single video is completely outrageous. 2nd thing: it says on the advertisement no speed limits. Which is true except there's only one part of the track you get to gun it, and you have to share the road with the other 5 people that are driving on it which isn't really no limits and not that different from driving on a road except you get to go fast for one portion, you get a professional to yell in your ear the whole time, and your in an expensive car. Oh also did I mention it's only 2 laps. Yeah, you've paid $400 to go around a track twice which lasts around 5 minutes give or take. All in all, we had fun. Probably won't do it again but...
Read moreLet's start with the positives. Nice staff. Good garages, classroom and shop. Food trailer is good if a bit slow. Gas on site. Clean and air conditioned bathrooms.
Paddock parking can be very tight.
Now the 'negatives'. O e lane/ine way bridge really slows and backs up traffic while you wait for your turn at the green light. Track surface is very rough. The transition bumps, especially under the bridge, oval and exiting the back of the oval are miserable. If you have a stiff track/ race car, you will be beaten to death. Turn 3 is stupid. It exists to eat tires, just run the so-called short course. There really should be more curbing in many spots, especially the outside of the last turn.
I understand that many people really do love this track, Miatas especially. It is just not for me/ my car. In the area, I...
