I have been a loyal customer for 5+ years but I am done shopping here. I mostly buy turkey organs and off-cuts to cook & feed our elderly dog. I stopped in last week and bought my usual monthly supply of $50-75 in gizzards, liver & knuckles. I immediately thawed and cooked a package of gizzards when I got home and when draining the liquid out of the pan I found a big fat housefly. I sometimes reserve the cooking liquid for soups for my family so this really grossed me out but I chocked it up to a random happening. It is a farm after all. Today I thawed the second package of gizzards to cook and noticed right away the gizzards inside the packaging are covered in dirt and hay. So they were cut, packaged, sealed, labeled and put out for sale all while very visably filthy. No one caught that at any of those steps? (These are meant for human consumption, they are not labeled as dog food.) I am very seriously concerned about the cleanliness, thought and care this place puts into their products. See attached photos.

My dog is allergic to everything and the online shop always runs out of the ground turkey pet food. I am so fortunate to find Otto's so close by. Of course my dog loves the food. But the bonus for us was all of the rest of the products they carry. Meat sticks, snack meats, pot pies, etc. My fave people food was so far was the fresh turkey. I've never cooked a fresh turkey but it turned out fantastic! This was so delicious, best turkey I've ever had! Highly recommend. Love to stock up on people food whenever we need to drive out for pet food!

Last year we had an Otto’s turkey at Thanksgiving dinner with friends in the Grand Rapids, MI area. I asked them where they bought the turkey as it was the best I ever had. I bought another Otto’s turkey this year and again it was the most delicious, moist turkey we ever had. Everyone commented on the wonderful flavor. I highly recommend Otto’s Turkey Farm.

My wife and I moved here from MN, so this was our first visit to Tom Otto's. We've always invested in a fresh turkey since the mid 1990's. Since it was just the two of us this year we got a bone in turkey breast for our Thanksgiving meal - a 9.7 pounder to be exact (my wife make killer soup out of the bones and some left over meat). At any rate we were super impressed with the flavor, the tenderness of the breast. It was exceptional. If you've never tried fresh turkey, or you think there is no difference between farm fresh and grocer turkey, I recommend you visit Tom Otto's and let those fine folks hook you up with a fresh turkey. Simply the best. You won't go back to grocery store...
