We have been experiencing intermittent WiFi issues in our home for several months. We finally decided to do something about it, requested quotes from several places and received a response later that same day from Steve at Sound Media Solutions. I know it is not the sleek stuff, like home theater or network installation, but Steve was professional, helpful and quite personable. We had to adjust the service call due to an unforeseen conflict. Steve was very flexible with the change.

Steve was very communicative about his arrival time and showed up on time. He listened as I gave him the details of what we used on our networks, both hardwired and WiFi. He asked good questions trying to get to the bottom of the issue. He was very patient as we worked through trying to locate or remember the appropriate passwords. He made suggestions that were quite helpful. He definitely had the right tools to diagnose the issue, showing that we had very good WiFi signals and quickly identified a potential network conflict. It took us a little time to realize what the device was that was stepping on our WiFi. The device was no longer being used, but was still plugged in and in-service. Once we unplugged it, the network conflict disappeared.

Based on my experience, I would highly recommend Sound Media Solutions to anyone looking to install a network or even troubleshoot an existing home network. When it is time for us to upgrade our network, I will be calling them for sure. I recently moved into a house that has an open concept living and dining space and realized that the only way to get a home theater experience without cluttering the space would be to have the rear speakers installed in either the ceiling or the walls. I did a little google searching and found this company nearby and reached out to them. Lisa called me back and discussed my setup and some basic ideas I was looking for and scheduled Steve to promptly come out and see what we can come up with. The basic concept was rewiring the front speakers I already had including bi-amping, and cleaning up the aesthetic as well as two KEF wall mounted speakers behind the living space. We gave the go ahead and scheduled the install the next week. Ian was our install technician and I cannot say enough positive things about him. He put up with all my questions while he was working and went so above and beyond as far as cleanliness and aesthetic while doing the install. He used a bag under the drywall cuts to collect the dust and took one of my furniture pieces outside to do some light carpentry to clean up the look of it (hide the wire gaps). Additionally, the wire routing through the basement was tacked to the beams in such a way that you wouldn't even know it was there without hunting for it. The end result is a super clean, amazing sounding, and professional installation. Can't recommend this...
