Thomas Burford Pugh Memorial Bridge — Local services in Thurmond

We drove across this bridge while checking out Prince. The original was demolished in 2015. It crosses the New River. The original was built in 1931 and had a toll booth originally until it was paid for. Without this bridge it would be a long drive to Beckley. Beautiful Bridge in Prince, WV. Parking near the Glade Creek Park entrance (opposite side of the road) and a walkway across the entire bridge with a couple informative signs about the area. Great spot for photos. This is NOT the New River Gorge Bridge or The Fayette Station/Tunney...
