Thurmont Event Complex — Local services in Thurmont

The venue itself is pretty fantastic, although the acoustics for bands could use some tweaking- sound deadening curtains/cloth added? I'm no expert though. I love supporting local spots like this. One minor criticism- there's no phone number listed for this place. I went to the website, nothing. They recommend sending an email, but I never got a response. *update- I reached out via Facebook Messenger and was told apparently my email went to their spam, and they replied, so it's all good. However, I still recommend a phone number to call and at least leave a message, etc. Additionally, we want to see an upcoming show, but no info was listed on the webpage, and there was no way to buy advance tickets. The staff was extremely rude, they had the gall to approach the BRIDE and yell at her for the hall not being set up, when we have 38 minutes STILL until we were told to have cleaned up and be gone. Everyone in the wedding party is appalled, if you ever considered spending a fortune to have an event here, FORGET IT. You’d have a better time in your own front lawn.

Food was mediocre, alcohol over priced, and we were rushed out the door 10 minutes before we were told was time.

I’ll say it again: GET MARRIED IN YOUR FRONT YARD IT’LL BE BETTER. Literally host bingo in your yard, whatever you do, DONT SPEND YOUR MONEY HERE....

This place might be great. However, based on my interaction trying to learn if they have dates (from Joyce S.) available, trying to learn what the rental includes, etc the person responding has been super rude and not at all friendly.
