The Palisades formation is truly magnificent without a doubt. However, the unfortunate reality is the same for many scenic vistas in the Cascades and western Washington: the abundant precipitation is conducive to rapid regrowth of the coniferous forest, resulting in a diminished opportunity to observe whatever was intended to be seen.
