Big Shaun’s Smash Burgers — Local services in Tillamook

Slightly kicking myself for not stopping in sooner :) But now we have a go to for awesome burgers and fries.

My Mr and I finally stopped today for lunch - I’ve been following them on social media since they opened and just based off of some of the things they’ve done for the community they already had 5 stars in my head before even going.

20/10 great experience all around. The counter to order is tucked away by the registers, took a second to follow the yummy smells to where they were and probably missed something pointing us directly to it though. Greeted by an absolutely kind human bean who was genuinely nice, calling that out because running into good people randomly is an awesome little life sparkle - and he was patient with me when I rambled about meaning to come in sooner :) He asked if we were local and got us setup with a punch card which we will definitely be using and also included some sauces for us to try which was super nice!

We both had a deluxe single patty and split the large fries - not sad about any of it. The burger patties were perfect size/smashed and cooked perfectly. I personally like slimmer patties so these were smooshed great and covered the bun so you get a bite each time. Hubby likes more meat so next time he’ll get a double but agreed he was stuffed after and one patty was just fine - he’ll just plan on being miserable full next visit :) the grilled onions were awesome, lettuce and tomato fresh, the sauce was super tasty, all around great burger and a great price. The fries were awesome as well, personally our fave type - the double fried? Where the outside is a bit more crunchy and the fry isn’t super thick but not skinny. Anywho super enjoyed those as well and out of the three sauces… I believe the spicy one, which isn’t really spicy, more like a little More ooomph flavor wise and some sweet and warm to it - that was the fave.

All around awesome in our book. One star taken off for atmosphere only because it’s located in a small store and don’t want people thinking it’s a sit down table service type place. But there are great picnic tables outside behind the shed and it was a beautiful sunny day so atmosphere was...

First time here, I’m a local and have been excited to check it out from the community buzz on social media. With tip and a couple extras, it was a $20 burger, and I gotta say totally worth it! I ordered the spicy smash burger with bacon, very satisfying, however I didn’t taste anything notably “spicy” apart from when I bit into a jalapeño, it says it has a sriracha honey sauce on it, but I didn’t pick up on that, maybe next time I’ll order extra on the side. The fries and biggie sauce were perfect. Took off a star only because the pickles were far past their prime, after biting into that I had to spit it out. After picking off the rest of the pickles I happily finished the burger, next time I’ll ask for pickles on the side just in case they’re like that again. Wow! We knew from previous reviews that we were in for a treat but when we actually took our first bite we knew we had found our new favorite burger joint. We decided to stick with their traditional smash burger and fries, and they didn’t disappoint. We figure if you can make the classics well, then the rest has gotta be good. We started with two burgers (one single patty, one double) and an order of fries, and enjoyed it so much that we went back for another burger and dessert for the road. We couldn’t resist.

The location has all the charm and simplicity you would expect in a small town general store. You can grab your groceries and a smash burger all in one trip. And although there isn’t a designated seating area, we found our car to be a suitable alternative. Big thumbs up to Big Shaun’s...
