Words can't even begin to describe how fantastic this experience was. I was in charge of planning a bachelor party for my brother and had this place suggested by a close friend. I knew nothing about the course, I knew nothing about the area (Tionesta), but am ecstatic to share that not a single person was disappointed. There were 8 of us so I booked their weekend golf package which included a 2-night stay at the condos and 18 holes of golf for each day (thanks for helping me book this event, Terri!). We scheduled tee times for Friday and Saturday, but unfortunately the forecast for the entire week leading up to our Friday/Saturday stay kept saying 100% chance of rain. Because of that, instead of bringing our golf clubs, we decided to bring more beer and indoor activities since it looked like golfing was not going to be possible. Our Friday tee time was for 4pm, but because we decided to change our golfing plans at the last minute, we ended up arriving around 4:30. I apologized for being late and explained that we changed our minds about golfing. Vicki (Sorry if spelled wrong!) checked us in and actually refunded us for the portion of our package that made up the golf fees. This I was not prepared for at all, and was completely unnecessary as we were the ones who decided not to golf. So right off the bat I was pleasantly surprised with how accommodating and generous that was.

The next day turned out to be a BEAUTIFUL day. No rain at all - so we were bummed that we wouldn't get to golf. I was laying in bed regretting my decision to drink the night before when one of the boys burst in the front door of our condo screaming with joy: the owners/employees somehow managed to round up 2 sets of clubs (one of our guys brought a set as well) so they allowed 6 of us to play and share 3 sets of clubs! Again, this was unheard of and completely unnecessary on their part, and the guys were thrilled to play. Me and another one of the guys weren't feeling too hot from the amount of alcohol we consumed the night before, so we didn't really have an interest in playing, but did want to see the course and one-of-a-kind views of the forest and river. Vicki and Rick (who is one of the owner's, I believe) said that was no problem and handed us a key to a cart and let us drive through the course and take some awesome pictures of the overlook at hole 7 - FOR FREE! (Though Rick joked that we would have to pay $115 per person to do so) Again, we were blown away by the level of hospitality we received here.

The wait staff and bartenders were fantastic as well. Our entire group of guys agreed that Brittany (spelling... sorry again), who was our bartender for 95% of our stay, was the most fun bartender we've ever had. There were times where the entire bar was full, the restaurant was packed, but we still never had to wait more than a couple minutes for her to hustle back to us and ask us (each by name, too!) if we needed anything: "Dan, you good? Mike, need anything? Alec, how was that drink; need another?" etc. It made everyone feel like we were at home and had known her for years. It wasn't just her service that was top-tier either; there was never a dull conversation to be had when she was involved, plus she was absolutely hilarious! We also had the pleasure of meeting and being tended to by Samina (probably butchered the spelling again, SORRY!) for an hour or so on Saturday night after Brittany left, and she was just as fun to be around.

Even the other customers who came in to eat or drink were super pleasant to be around, buying the groom-to-be shots and drinks when they found out it was a bachelor party. And I'm 100% sure there were more than handful of times where a few of us were being overly loud/obnoxious... times where I'm certain we would've gotten the boot at any other establishment, but instead we were kindly reminded by the bartenders or wait staff that we were getting too rowdy and needed to take it down a notch so as not to offend other customers - which we all felt bad about and...

Pros: -Beautiful course and setting overlooking the Allegheny River -Course conditions were acceptable considering the drought conditions. Greens were nice. -Reasonable Green Fees -Two free hotdogs with round

Cons: -Course layout is poorly marked. Signs directing golfers to the next hole (the direction of which is often not obvious) are too small and easy to miss. -Nearly every ball washer was empty...bone dry. -Tee boxes were a mixture of bare dirt and crabgrass, which made for horrible footing and difficulty finding a spot to place your ball. Some tee boxes were so bad, they had the tee indicators NEXT to the actual tee box on a non-flat lie. -Distances are poorly marked on par 3's. Scorecard and stone pillar distances are not reliable due to shifting pin and tee locations. A simple ground marker on the tee box would suffice. -All 18 flags are green, which makes them extremely difficult to see against a green background, AND they provide no indication of the depth of the pin (front, middle, or back of green) like every other course I've golfed. -Carts are over-governed, especially considering the hilly terrain. On the flats, they are noticeably slower than carts at other courses I've played. On the hills, they barely made it up.

This course COULD be spectacular if management paid better attention to some small details. The cons listed above would be easy and relatively...

I've been wanting to golf here for years and finally didn't it. So sorry I waited so long. The day started with the most helpful counter person ever. Since we never played here before, she took us outside and give us a quick overview of the course layout and how to make it to the different holes.

The back nine is beautiful, running along the river, and pretty straightforward. The front nine has some of the most unusual holes you'll ever see. I'm sure purists don't appreciate it but if you love some interesting holes you will love these.

Two free hot dogs with are 18 holes in the cart. Unfortunately we didn't have time to dine in the adorable, retro restaurant.

I suggest you park your car at the far East end of the parking lot away from the clubhouse. The parking lot is directly behind a par 3 hole. Anyone whoever shoots it is going to put it in the parking lot. We had a ball bounced past us as we were driving in and another one as we were...

Played Hunter's Station Golf Course in Tionesta this morning. What a gorgeous course and well maintained layout. The front is an aggressive adventure up and down a mountain with it's signature 145 yard par three hole number 7 that drops down and overlooks the Allegheny River. (Birdied that one with an 8 iron off the tee!) and then a scenic and playable back nine along the Allegheny River. The course is a novel design, with some holes that require strategic tee shot and not just take out the driver (5, 6, 7, 12, 13, 17). My only comment is that most of the tee boxes were not consistent in their cutting and some of the tee box yardages were different than the card, but only minor aspects that didn't change my enjoyment of this mountain course. So glad I decided to play here while visiting family in Titusville. I highly recommend.

A fun course, especially the front nine. The back nine, although challenging, aren't quite like the front nine. Nevertheless, I love this course. My buddies and I make the long trip from Erie, PA on Wednesdays when the greens fees are only $17 which includes a gas cart and two free hotdogs on the turn. A side note here, the relish they serve is the best I've ever had. My most recent trip here, I discovered they no longer carry this wonderful relish. BUMMER! I'll have to rethink our trip down here. YES, the relish was that good. The course is in great shape and very well maintained. The friendly staff make the long trip down well worth it.

Nice course with inexpensive golf packages with accommodations . WiFi now in the condos The accommodations have not been updated in 15 years so are very dated and worn. New sheets this year were very nice and beds are comfy. Restaurant is very good and staff are great. I hate turtle back greens, no reward for a good shot.
