DJ Karl Detken and the rest of the Luke Renchan Entertainment team were great to work with for our wedding! From the original consultation to the day of, their communication was spot on. Luke met with us originally to go over the various packages and addons. We knew from the beginning we wanted to have a karaoke segment towards the end of the night, and he was happy to make that happen. We also decided on some ambient uplighting and the audio guestbook option, which allowed our guests (including those that couldn’t attend the wedding in person) to record messages to be pressed onto a vinyl album. Luke recommended a couple of his DJ’s with availability and we decided on DJ “Kalifornia” Karl. Karl communicated with our officiants, photographer, and musician friends that were performing to make sure everyone had the audio setups they needed. We also had a cocktail hour in a separate building that he brought a second audio setup for so there was a seamless transition between the two buildings without any time spent moving audio equipment back and forth, which we really appreciated. He was also on top of any special requests for the dance and the karaoke portions of the night. Luke Renchan is an incredible DJ!!! Luke DJ’d for my wedding on 8/25/19. His expertise in music was evident from the moment we hired him. He helped us through every little detail. We did not know how overwhelming this process could be and had never thought about needing a song for almost every action that takes place at the wedding. Luke made that process so incredibly easy. We had a pre-meeting with him to discuss all of the details and he was incredibly kind, patient, and professional! He had amazing suggestions for us. The up lighting & monogram was just stunning and the mirror photobooth was just so much fun. Even my 93-year-old grandparents had a blast with it! Luke had everyone up on the dance floor and played a great variety for all ages. He stuck with any guidelines we had set out for him! If there was a song request or something that deviated from our discussion, Luke communicated with me before allowing anything. The truly most amazing part of the night was after the videographers and photographers had already gone, he snapped photos and video of our last dance and final song surrounded by our beautiful family holding hands around us. I can’t say thank you enough to Luke for everything he did for us leading up to the wedding and the day off! We had to postpone our wedding twice, and Luke was there every step of the way to help us, work with us, and keep us informed about all of the COVID updates/restrictions as they related to our wedding date. Luke was always available to answer my calls and emails and did everything he could to make our third wedding date beyond special. Luke executed all of our requests perfectly, and thankfully, COVID restrictions were lifted right before our wedding, so Luke had our guests up and moving on the dance throughout the wedding! We also had Luke handle our ceremony, for which I had specific requests in my songs, and he made sure that each song was played exactly how and when I wanted. I took Luke’s advice at the last minute to add some uplighting, and I am so happy that I listened- his recommendation was perfect for the tent at our venue.
