I have had 3 bad experiences here. 2 separate times my appointment was scheduled close to closing and both times the client before me ran late so my appointments were extremely rushed and not done as well as they should have been. I felt like I was being pushed out the door. My most recent experience was bad enough to make me never go back. I went in for a consult for a hair color, was told it was doable and no maintenance would be needed, I had pictures of what I wanted. Sounded great and the stylist seemed to know what she was talking about and seemed very confident in giving me the results I wanted. I went In for the color and what I left with was not even remotely close to what I had asked for. She ignored my concerns during the appointment( I could tell she was doing a completely different look), felt very rushed, and she didn’t finish because they had gone past closing but didn’t make me a appointment to finish. I had to pay for a entire new session if I wanted to finish this coloring that wasn’t even close to what I had asked for. I made a redo appointment with someone else and was instantly met with attacks. instead of listening to me I was told I was wrong, I miscommunicated and that what I wanted wasn’t possible. Even accused of showing the wrong pictures. All I wanted was a simple balayage. I felt very attacked and was very close to getting up and leaving before even attempting to fix my hair. My hair was not “fixed.” She was very rough with my hair and I’ve never actually experienced pain getting my hair washed before. It was very awkward and just truly did not want to be there, I can’t believe how much blame was being put on me. Now it’s just something I have to live with. Wanted to find a new salon closer to home, and when appt was booked, asked for color consult initially. At the time appt was made, I’d specifically asked if I had cut and color the same day as consult they’re would be enough time. Was told yes, appt would be long enough. Mistakenly I thought my appt was for 11:30, but instead it was for 11, so I was out in the lot waiting to check in for 11:30. Salon called at 11:20 looking for me. I explained my mistake in time, and was told to come in after another 5 min. Once inside, was professional atmosphere, clean and organized. Was lead to washing station, not chair to discuss hair color and cut, and was advised that because I was late, no color would be done today and stated I had only been booked for “consult” (5 min) and cut. When I’d advised her that’s not what I’d booked, I was told she had other clients scheduled after me and only hair cut would be done, and was told that lots of “miscommunication” had happened. When I persisted about the understanding I had about total time, I was told I could book another time for both if I wanted to. I did not. Yes, I was late, (honest mistake) however, I had not been booked properly from the beginning. There could have been a half way meeting with understanding instead of telling someone they’re intruding on other clients. This is not the way to treat a new client, ever. You work with someone, and try to make things work so everyone is satisfied. ULTIMATE HAIR CUT EXPERIENCE ! I have had my hair cut literally all over the world, and this one is by far my favorite. I have seen no other hair salon also has a full blown Spa, an ATM machine, served wines + teas + coffee + spring water, had a comfortable waiting room with selection of excellent magazines, very nice private restrooms, gives out some nice items, and has the most vast collection of hair product that I have ever seen. It is a store in itself.

Their staff is immense, diverse, and super friendly, with lots of stations and space. They always seem to get me in, even three times when I called at the last minute from the highway. They never seem to be rushing and are obviously very experienced professionals, with some having worked there for over ten years.

And it is only about a mile or so from the interstate and in the way between Hartford and Boston. One straight shot from the exit, with gas stations and eateries at the exit. It has it's own building and lots of parking.

I always go to see Estelle, who does it exactly as I like. She is a true expert at her craft and such a nice person to come here to see. She was when willing to stay late this time to fit me in. Even when far away, I still come back here. You cannot go wrong with the one and...
