I ordered a "cream" colored velvet bench for the foot of my bed from CorLiving. Upon arrival, I immediately knew it would not work in my space, the color labeled cream had much warmer tones and is really more of a yellow. It also had a sheen to it and an iridescent fabric that changed color when the light hit it. When I contacted CorLiving to find out the return process on the same day that I received it, I was told that any Clearance item is not eligible for return. Nowhere on the website page for the bench, my email order confirmation or on my packing slip did it state that this would not be returnable. I would not have risked the purchase had I known that. Their staff was also very condescending and told me this was an "industry standard" (not true). The policy is actually posted in a completely separate area, at the bottom of their site, HIDDEN under Shipping. There is no reason for me to click on Shipping- the shipping was FREE! FTC guidelines Deception policy state that any omission of information that is important to a consumer's decision to purchase is misleading or deceptive.
