Contacted this so called business first on 9/30/25. I left a message asking for help on repairing a sectional recliner. Michael called back and set appt. for Tuesday 10/14/25. He said he would call the night before to confirm arrival time. I made arrangements to be home on this date. Rescheduled doctor appts. etc. The night before he called to confirm the appointment and give me an arrival time. The next morning , the day of the appointment, I get a text saying he didn’t feel well and if I could reschedule til Thursday. I texted him back and told him that I had a meeting that was being held at my house from 1-5 on Thursday and I received no response. On tonight, Wednesday around 6:30 pm he called to say that 1:00 would be my arrival time tomorrow . I reminded him that I told him the morning he canceled saying he was sick that 1-5 would not work for me on Thursday . So he preceded to tell me that if I canceled, it would be a long time before he would be back in my area. I told him I would find someone else. Let me just say this… if someone wants me to respect their time… they damn well better respect mine. This is no way to do business. Life does not revolve around Action Furniture Repair. I changed my plans for him once and waited over a week in order to accommodate his schedule. He made no attempt to accommodate mine. I guess he don’t...
Read moreWe had Action Furniture come out to give us an estimate on about 13 large pieces of furniture which were damaged. They do charge an estimate fee which wasn't told to us until after we had shown them two items that needed repair, which I thought was pretty weird. The estimate fee was reasonable and does go towards the cost of the repairs, so we went ahead with the estimate. The owner is the person who was doing our estimate and he was way more interested in his phone then doing the estimate. He was really unprofessional as far as writing down details and focusing on the estimate. He was continually texting during the whole time we were trying to show the damage that needed repair and we end up having to go over the damage two or three times, on some items, because he was on his phone. I understand that he has other customers, but it seemed like he just didn't have the time to do the estimate. Also, when our estimate came back it was missing one of the items so it took another week to get them to fix that and add the missing item to the estimate. We did not get any work done by them because of how poorly the...
Read moreMichael came out yesterday to repair one of the two recliners that are attached to the ends of the wrap around sofa we have had for three years. We originally bought it from Rooms To Go, who graciously supplied us with two free motors in response to our complaints, in case that was the issue. We had also contacted Man Wah , the manufacturer, and their rep in North Carolina. He arrived , looked at all the possibilities, and discovered it was the power box that had broken. We were going to cannibalize the other recliner, but he had an extra powerbox. Once he installed it, the recliner worked like a charm. My wife was very happy, and he charged us a very reasonable price for everything. We would definitely use him again, and appreciate very much his expertise and efficiency in getting our...
