Bill was terrifically helpful, both when I initially called him to describe my problem and several days after when I called to have him do the work of removing malware from my tablet (which is my only computer). On our initial call, he gave me advice about what I could and should do immediately to minimize any possible damage and he offered lots of info and reassurance to this basically non-techy gal. He did this all for no charge, on a Thursday or Friday evening, from his Texas residence when I called from Ohio, mistakenly thinking he was still located in the Columbus area. He told me he pucked up the call when he saw it was coming from a Columbus area code because he still does a lot of work -- remotely -- for former Columbus clients. I can see why. THIS Columbus resident will call him again with any computer issues.
When I called him back several days after my first call to him to ask him to actually work on my tablet, he was able to start the work immediately. He accessed my tablet remotely and worked on it for 2 hours. I was on the phone with him the entire time (except when I had to take an incoming call) and he explained everything he was finding and what he was doing. When he finished removing the malware, he went through my entire tablet with me, removing things I don't use, addung ad blockers where appropriate, etc, so that my tablet now operates faster than ever.
I couldn't be more pleased with Bill's work, approachability, accessibility, and price. He was very kind. He never made me feel that anything I was asking was a dumb question and he explained everything in "layman's" terms. Read moreMy experience started out a bit rocky. I took my computer to Bill's on April 15th and gave it to his son who was waiting in the garage. After Bill checked it out he said that my hard drive was gone. I ask him if he could take my pictures from my photo gallery and put them on a flash drive, which he said he could. Now one month later (today May 15th) I went to pick it up. When I went to pick it up, he handed me the wrong computer, with a flash drive and the bill stating his charge. I told him that that was not mine, so he took me down to his work station and I showed him my computer, but he couldn't find my flash drive. He said he'd find it and bring it to me this afternoon. My pickup time was noon, but I got there about 1/2 hour early. He finally got to my house about 4 pm. Now for the rocky part, I had a lot of pictures saved on my photo gallery, but the flash drive he left me were missing a lot of them . Especially the more recent ones of my family and friends, which cannot be replaced. I believe he hurriedly put some of the pictures on a different flash drive just to have one to bring to me. Read moreI attempted to build my first gaming PC, and everything appeared to be working properly. However, it kept crashing with a black screen, as well as not recognizing my graphics card. I had done my research initially, and was sure that I had parts that would work. I returned a few parts, ordered new parts, and the issue persisted. At this point I was a few weeks into the process and waiting on a number of refunds. I knew that I needed someone to diagnose the issue.
