I had my birthday party here. Even though it was a lil far out for my guests and Google Maps tell you to pass up this location (yellow house on the left as soon as you turn left on the street). We hand sculpted clay into vases and painted them. Some people had enough clay to make a small cross too. Love this place! The activities, the options, the pottery, the painting, the space, and especially the staff and customer service. They were all so sweet, helpful, patient and accommodating! Some of our pieces broke off or exploded in the oven but I guess that happens. Avoid rolling the clay into tiny balls! My cross broke and I was very sad but they were very understanding and offered a "re-do". Can't wait to go back to do it! It's my second time in this place after visiting with my first child a few years back. Now, I had both boys in tow so we can create something for grandma for Mother's day. The pottery and paint selection is very varied and the boys and I had a fun time selecting our own items to paint. There is also a good selection of colors and even stencils, brushes and whatever else you can think of. The best part is that the staff is very nice and accommodating, that is a huge bonus for a mom with a 10 and a 4yo who can be loud and need ample supervision. Nancy's Fancys ceramic shop is a wonderful place to go and paint. There are hardly any places like this anymore. It's a great place for children to come also and learn to paint. Staff is so very helpful and patient with you. They offer occasional special classes and accommodate parties. Prices are reasonable and include the item, paint, firing and lights if needed. They have recently added stoneware pieces, which are oven safe, microwave safe and dishwasher safe once painted. They have several pieces in stoneware to choose from. Fun to paint!
