Go Fish Guide Service — Local services in Tool

I want everyone to know that this is the GUY if you want to go fishing on Cedar Creek Lake. My husband and I recently moved to the area and didn't really know anything about the lake. Then my daughter found Go Fish Guide Service on Facebook and the rest is history. We finally set up a time and day to get on the lake with Rodney. I can't say enough about how great it was. He made sure we hit all the hot spots. In the first hour of the trip, we had 36 of our 40 limit on Sand Bass. He knew they would be there and we were throwing them on the boat so fast he didn't even have time to do more than unhook them before we were casting again. He also did something that I did not expect, when he saw that I was suffering from the heat, he said that we could go home during the heat and then return that evening to go out again. I don't even know how to tell you about the Crappie fishing. We had never fished for them but Rodney showed us how to fish them, how to rig for them, and where the best places are to fish for them. He did not have to share his knowledge with us. He didn't mind me asking questions about different fish and how to hook them. I learned a lot from him. And after all that, I think I have to tell you that he was just an all around great guy. He is interesting to talk to and just fun to hang around. I’ve fished multiple times with Rodney and this was a waste of $900. Sadly it was my birthday present and was a huge disappointment. The trophy catfish we came to fish for he didn’t even attempt to put us on. He was not personable and was so negative it made the atmosphere uncomfortable. Most of our group had no help whatsoever from him. I fished for not even 2 hours when he ended the trip as soon as it started sprinkling. He did offer to take only 2 at a time fishing later if the weather permitted on a smaller boat. There were charges added after the trip that were never explained. The price increases were in fine print at the bottom of an email. After we communicated our dissatisfaction, his girlfriend argued and was very unprofessional and did not even attempt to make things right. She did remove the unspoken fees they added after the fact. I booked a fishing trip with Rodney for my little cousins 9th birthday and he absolutely loved it. The bite was a little slow in the early part of the day due to no wind, but Rodney tried a few different fishing options and boy did it pay off. Bentley caught fish that was almost bigger than he was. Rodney was so awesome with Bentley and showing him different fishing techniques and Bentley was on cloud 9 and talked about this day for a long time..
