Insane Paine Produce — Local services in Topeka

Ok I usually have no complaints here but the last few visits leave much to be desired , by one individual only though. The produce is great and the white bearded gentleman ( father of owner?) is always friendly and helpful. A few others have always been attentive and answer questions or assist with choices, etc. 👍🤗. Today was third visit in a row we have had to suffer the crass, abrupt comments of one female. Do not know her name, she is older and slender & today she wore a sky blue tank top we came for peaches and tomatoes, as usual. I spied 1 bucket and advised " if that's the last if the peaches is like to claim them". I was told quite abruptly that when she was done with another person she would get to me! NO ONE was at her table to pay. The 2 other patrons there were still picking their tomatoes! Then I went to pick a melon and she hollered across the yard ". If you just pay for your order , you can pick your melon on your way out!". Seriously that is very rude and most especially since there are only 3 of us there shopping . My husband is standing there waiting for my melon decisionand the woman snaps at him saying " you need to pay and move along so you are not clogging my line". REPEAT. There was only 3 of us there and NO ONE in line behind my husband. The absolute worst behavior from a public dependent business. If you are in pain, please take some Tylenol and sit a bit. If you are not a morning person--- you are in the wrong business To the bearded gentleman and the other woman working this morning.
