Very big collection of knick-knacks and oddities with quite a bit of antiquities. Very tightly packed rows from as far back dated as the early 1900s. There are boxes of comics, toys, books, manuals for everything, jewelry, housewares, furniture, stuff for your man-cave. Everything, except contemporary items. You won't find discount radios, TVs or blu-ray players. The other drawback is the lack of sufficient staff or organization of the facility. Other things are in boxes piled up in n corners but not out. For fear of having something fall down I didn't risk opening the boxes. There is also a lot of things with no tags and a lot of overpriced. I suspect they watch the antique shows on TVs and thus have priced their items on the chance its a jackpot as such. The vendors that were present were willing to negotiate some of the prices but not much. It is a shame that I couldn't get a good signal to see if anything could be compared with online. But it is a great place to just look at the collection of items a hundred years old. I expect to make several...

After living in Connecticut for years* I can’t believe I only just discovered Wrights Barn & Flea Market! This place is an absolute treasure trove for anyone who loves antiques, quirky collections, or just browsing unique finds.
The barn has two floors packed with vendors offering everything from vintage items to curated curiosities. The first floor even has a snack spot (though I couldn’t spot a menu—next time I’ll ask!). What really stood out was the warm, welcoming vibe.
Upstairs is where the magic really happened for me. The second floor is a paradise for antique lovers, and I scored an awesome Hot Wheels car from one of the vendors. Shoutout to them for the super-friendly service and the adorable packaging—it made the purchase feel extra special!
Already planning my return trip this summer. If you’re in Torrington, don’t sleep on this spot—whether you’re hunting for hidden gems or just want a fun way to spend an afternoon, Wrights Barn delivers! 🚗✨
P.S. Bring cash, take your time exploring, and there’s...
Read moreI remember coming here 30+ years ago as a kid and now I’m coming here as an adult shopping for my own home. With some digging, I did find some things that appealed to me and fit my budget. I was happy to find actual antiques, vintage and even primitive items. Some of the booths need a real clean out / organization to make them more shoppable but this is typical of this style of place, and part of the charm. I would love to find bigger furniture items, though I understand those are harder for everyone to “store”. I hope more vendors start accepting cards so it’s easier for those of us who are not cash or check carriers to spend money with them.
I can’t end my review without mentioning the cafe! The owner makes amazing baked goods - I was really trying to withhold but the smell was just too overpowering! She had a whole array of fresh baked scones and a tortilla soup on the menu for lunch!
I hope they can bring in some “young blood” to keep this place going for...
