Jennifer Allessandro is the new PA at the Alexander office. My husband had an appointment namely, a follow-up after 2 visits to the ER. One ER trip landed him at Rochester General for 3 days. My husband has Congestive Heart Failure. Two years ago he had 1 big heart attack and several small ones. He has a Stent because of a blockage. CHOLESTEROL! These recent ER Visits founded a tremendous amount of fluid build up,result...Pneumonia! The new PA did not address the problem at hand with the exception of writing scripts he already had. Both myself and my husband go to a methadone clinic. Right away the discussion went to my husband being told there were "consequences" and his substance use was the cause of his medical condition. This was the first time we ever saw this PA and the last. She went on and on about his substance use until I got up and left the office. She was in fact nasty with her tone and seemingly "put off" by his use. Please know DRUGS did not cause his heart attacks..CHOLESTEROL did! She works under a wonderful physician..Dr. Fernaays who oversees several Methadone clinics. Her attitude was very nasty. There is no doubt that Ms Alessandro thought of us as "less than ". How sad! She needs to get with the program and say yes to harm reduction but I doubt she will. She also needs to be more careful as to what she says and who...

Going on 5 days of the run around to get my medication filled (not even a controlled substance). I proactively reached out days In advance because it’s always a headache and here we go again! (Been going here for 5+ years). Call there, they tell me to call Rite aid. Call Rite Aid, they tell me to call Oak Orchard. Over these last 5 days, I have been told numerous things as to why the prescription hasn’t been sent and that they are sending it right away. Couldn’t find me in the system, my account was marked inactive…….Im literally the most patient person you’ll ever meet. I gave them one more opportunity with a polite phone call this morning addressing my concerns although i ran out of the medication a 2 days ago. The Lady apologized and said she was sending it over right away. I thanked her and said I would grab it from Rite Aid after work. I get there tonight to pick it up and what do you know? Nothing was sent over!…. Get it together Oak Orchard Health. People have lives and their time is valuable.

I have been going to Oak Orchard for approximately 7 years. I adore the physicians and medical team but their billing department could use some work. They are impossible to get ahold of, do not return phone calls and have a lack of organizational skills. Previously, they have applied a check written for my account to a family members account which put them in a credit while my account was left with a balance, and more recently I have paid a bill with a credit card while in office and since have received 2 overdue bill statements by mail. I have called and was assured the money would be applied and my balance would be removed and yet again I received another bill. It’s disappointing and frustrating to deal with when you love...
