I'm from Florida so I'm spoiled: within a minute drive I have Trader Joe's, Whole Foods, Publix, Fresh Market and Piggly Wiggly. I regularly shop at all but the last. Up here in rural NY there is no such luxury of choice. I went in for one thing, delicata squash. It's fall, but no, they didn't have any. Very few squash at all. Store was crowded with boxes and junky displays, chaotic layout. It was messy with grimey floors. Understaffed.
