Nothing against the security or the town clerks as they were all efficient and friendly. My grief is with the town judge and the prosecutor.

The prosecutor treated us like cattle and spent maybe 30 seconds to 2 minutes with each of us. He kept his door wide open so everyone in the foyer could hear and didn’t even wait for confirmation or agreance before immediately asking me to move to the court room to wait. Couldn’t even hear him over the din of the crowded foyer!!

If you come here make sure you take the prosecutor’s time and plead your case there. The judge only wants to hear your agree.

Speaking of the judge, the paperwork stated to be at the courthouse for 1:00pm court date. The judge came over an hour after the original time. Upon asking the employees where he was or when he would get here no one had answers. Just goes to show communication is severely lacking at this location.

It's 2017, the internet has been around long enough and this court can't set up online payments??!!??! What century are they in? It's time to update. I think they just enjoy pissing people off so they continue to operate an outdated system. Anyway it took forever!!! to get them to let us pay the ticket in the mail. We went to Niagara Falls for vacation and happened to get a fix it ticket while out there and they expected us to drive back out there to pay it!??!?? I finally get the form to do the payment in the mail I have to mail back the form except they didn't send an envelope for me to mail it back plus I had to send back a stamped self addressed envelope as well. Such a pain! Plus you can't pay over the phone nor can you fax the form. Also, half the time the staff doesn't answer the phone and when they finally do they are the dumbest people you will ever talk to I swear they have no idea how to do their job. The court looks clean and has a beautiful mural. Also the chairs in the courtroom are comfortable. The staff were not rude to me or showed any arrogance. Rather they are very serious about their job and I respect that. The staff gave me clear instructions of where to go and I just had to wait for the judge.

The only problem that I had was the people around me. Speaking loud enough I could barely hear what the judge was saying. As if any one listening is going to help get rid of their ticket. The only one who can help you is either a lawyer or the judge's mercy. Yeah, the ticket prices are high but maybe it's a good idea not to do what got you here in the first place?

I've come to the conclusion that this type of experiences are not like going to a restaurant. Law Enforcement Officers enforce the laws that are broken. It doesn't matter if you got a ticket for an inspection, speeding 10 miles over the limit or if you murdered someone. We're bound to end up in this place one day due to our own actions.
