Our experience here was nothing short of amazing and incredible. When we arrived, we expected to just be browsing. However, the person running the store invited us to sample and taste chocolate. This person helped us find our taste in dark chocolate. They clearly understood the best ways to taste chocolate. What was originally a quick stop on the road for us turned into a delightful experience of tasting chocolate samples. We had an excellent experience with the staff member who was so welcoming and patient. Captains chocolate is very generous when it comes to offering samples as well. The products are so good. The raspberry and orange chocolates have the perfect balance of chocolate and fruit flavors. The chocolate bars are also very reasonably priced. We highly recommend this business to anyone as it's not just a store but an experience too. Also anyone reading this should expect to buy some of this delicious chocolate as well and support such a wonderful local business. We will be back...

I have heard of Captain's Chocolate, but it's off the beaten path so I have never been until today. I finally stopped in to check it out and I am so glad I did. This charming little store has some seriously good chocolate. The lovely lady behind the counter offered samples and explained all about their chocolate, the quality of the product and how they know all of their farmers. You can taste the difference in their superior product. If you are a Hersey's chocolate lover (which honestly really isn't chocolate) then this is not the place for you. But for those of you who are serious about your chocolate, then you need to either stop by or order on-line. They ship all over the world! They also offer a few classes. A Decadent Dips & Sips: Dipped desserts & Mocktails, and Magical Mousse: An Artisanal Mousse & Truffle, both of which sound delicious and fun. I think I might sign up! One can never have too much...

I had such a wonderful experience here that I will never forget. I was in the other day with my 2 children and I was kindly greeted the second I walked through the door. In general, amazing customer service. The lady is attentive and helpful. She asked me what I was looking for and I just said I was browsing. We sparked up a nice conversation and she educated me all about their chocolate and how it’s sourced. It was very fascinating. She let us sample many products and even some warm chocolate in the process of being made. Her son in law who makes the chocolate was extremely friendly as well. The shop is cute and clean and they have a window where you can watch the chocolate being made. It’s such a cool place.
