Wow, so Fingerlakes Drive-in was quiet the experience and not a good one. From the moment we got there to the end. The movies were very good but did not expect to pay money to see over half the first movie in a red saturation. Multiple issues seem to be happening with there system as they had to restart everyrhing from the wifi to the projector. The bathrooms were disgusting with wet gross floors from the start and stunk with water faucets crusted with something. My husband said the men's room was equally bad with a metal trough for a urinal and a sink hanging off the wall. Admission is advertised at $8 with a mandatory $2 food voucher ($10). Which sucks when you can't use the vouchers due to dietary restrictions. Other guests of drive-in were just as rude as the workers. Had to deal with people flashing lights, taking pictures with flashes on, flash lights being shined everywhere made for a distracting experience. And if you did want to get something from the concessions it closed without notice at the start of the second show. . And the icing was the annoying announcement about having to pay Bill's so buy stuff at the concessions. As they put it they are the oldest continuously running Drive-in and it shows by there lack of upkeep.
This is a huge don't. Not worth it and not a...
Read moreCheap concessions. But the problem is the features never start at 9. They stop. Restart, stop, restart. This is the 3rd time ive been here this past season with the movies starting well after 9 because of finicky changes that stop and restart the movie. This causes the second movie to start after midnight. The last time I was here they couldnt get the first movie to work, so they offered options to the audience including completely removing the lineup of both movies promised. Luckily. The audience picked playing the second movie first. We got 20 minutes into the movie and they stopped the movie and said: "we got the first to work so we are going to play that one". The full movie that we got to watch ended up starting at almost 10:30! I left because the second movie started at 12:30am and it was a 3 and a half hour movie.
I love this drivein because of the speakers, but its not acceptable and if this is how it will be I will be going to another drivein. Elmira or Midway never has...
