Perlick Distillery — Local services in Town of Beaver Brook

Pastoral setting; beautiful hardwood interior using wood harvested from Perlick Farms; great drinks. While I am not a vodka expert, I have had many of the big-name brands and some regional "craft" vodkas. I can honestly say that Perlick's American Yeoman vodka is the smoothest, most distinctive vodka I've ever tasted. Favorite drink for me is simply a dry martini, shaken, with nothing else added to interfere ('cept a few olives). The flavor has subtle hints of vanilla. The distiller informed me that their wheat has higher protein content than most wheats used to make commercial vodka, which likely affects the flavor profile. I rarely give 5 stars, but this place--and the vodka--deserve it. When busy, the service can be a bit on the slow side. But relax, enjoy the view, and sip on a great cocktail. Wonderful atmosphere, very knowledgeable staff and amazing vodka. I travel over 300 days out of the year with my work. When i have down time visit distillerys, breweries in the local area i am working in. My wife and I were on vaction for a family members wedding and happened across Perlick. We decided to stop in on our way home and the experianve was wonderful. The setting is remote and relaxing overlooking the wheat fields. And the interior is equaly impressive in apperance. A bit smaller inside but very well set up. The vodka it self was wonderful, clean crisp and slightly sweet, and the drinks were equaly impressive. I had the bloody mary with garlic and cucumber infused vodka my wife had the pineapple upside down cake. We were both impressed with both the flavor and quality. But highly recommend not coming on farmers market or other busy times-they are not equipped to handle a crowd. One star not for quality of beverages but for horrendous service. Holiday weekend-I get it-it’s busier than normal-but don’t take orders, make us pay for our order and then not deliver. We walked up, paid for our 2 beverages in advance and then proceeded to stand around and wait 35 minutes before we decided to leave.
