WORST EXPERIENCE EVER DIDNT WANT TO GIVE THEM ANY STARS!!! I pulled into this fuel stop because it was the cheapest on the road that was open. I am a transporter, (I deliver school buses), so I have to keep log of certain things and plan my route accordingly. Needless to say i was at a pump for a while. When I finished, I proceeded to exit the bus to pump some fuel. I am mid way through my fueling and I hear some yelling and it's getting closer. A guy comes around my bus super aggressive and yells at me saying that I cant pump any gas!! I become immediately defensive and I ask him why and that I am already pumping. He tells me its shift change and he is trying to go home! All the while still yelling. So he hangs up my pump and tells me to get my receipt. Ar this point its a full out argument. I told him you know I would not have had a issue but you came at me beyond rude. So that goes on for a short while. I ask for the manager and he tells me she is inside and she wont come out to handle the issue and that his name is Mike. To complete this review she pretty much had his back. So that tells me that in this particular establishment, the employee is always right. All the Manager could say to get me out her face was that she was sorry and that now I could pump gas. BEWARE OF MIKEY. HE HAS ANGER ISSUES. LISTEN FOR HIS WHISTLE WHEN THE PUMPS SHUT DOWN AND KNOW THAT HE IS THE ONLY ONE IN THE WORLD WHO HAS WORKED A 17HR SHIFT AND WANTS TO GO...
Read moreAfter decades as a patron this is my last visit here. The appeal of this place off the beaten path is the WHOLE package, which includes the restaurant. It's permanently closed, and they've NOT augmented it with a selection of other foods for hungry, "captive truckers". Just cheese pizza, cheese sandwiches, and two cheese soups. Not even some roller grill.
I don't know who these truck stops are getting their financial advisors from, but not a single one of them seems to realize that the restaurants are usually not huge money makers but are the draw that their other services like the parking and the store and the gas, subsidize. When I pulled in I was amazed at how empty the parking lot was even in the evening. Good for parking but bad for food. All the hard-working OTR truckers who rely on truck stops with restaurants have already crossed this place off their list.
I've lost track of all the good old truck stops that have listened to some mealy mouthed financial advisor and gotten rid of the restaurants, who have slowly spiraled into their demise and are now...
Read moreOffering 3 stars because I've been here for breakfast and it was great! HOWEVER, I ordered a fish fry from here today and it was the absolute WORST fish fry I've ever had! The fish was completely tasteless, besides the grease it was soaked in. French Fries were not even cooked. I bit one and it was literally cold inside like they just came out of the fridge! Not to mention ,the fries were sitting underneath the greasy fish which just made them uncooked, cold, soggy fries. Coleslaw was like soup! The slaw was so watery it ran all over the fish, fries and macaroni salad. This was a to go order. Had I received my food like this in the restaurant I would have definitely sent it back and ordered something else. Not happy that I wasted not only my money, but the meal as well. I ended up giving it to the dog. The only decent part of the meal was the Mac salad. Not sure if it was the cook they had today or if this is how their fish fry usually is, but I would never order a fish fry again. I'll stick to the breakfast. Which again, they do serve a...
