Farmhouse Snowmobiling and Go Karts — Local services in Town of Brighton

We try to visit the Adk's as often as we can. And, winter is prime for us. What does one do when in the Adk's in winter? Snowmobiling!! We tried Farmhouse Snowmobiling several years ago. The weather had no been cooperating the days before we arrived, and the conditions were not optimal. So much so, that our ride was shortened to 60 minutes (not 90) and given a partial refund. We also could have canceled and gotten a full refund. We opted to go. We had a very good time and Kevin, out guide, did his best to make our ride as fun as it could be. We enjoyed it. This year, we decided to come back and try our luck again. This time, the conditions were awesome!! We arrived the arrived early, as requested, and picked out our helmets. There were two rows of very new snowmobiles sitting there waiting for us. And, Kevin, and now Forest, were our guides. We got our safety briefing and off we went. Kevin and Forest took us across open farmland, into groves of pine trees, out onto rail trails and around an airport. There was terrain for all experience levels. And, Kevin and Forrest made every effort to make all of us feel comfortable and safe. It was great!! We will be here again! Side note - they also offer go carting, when there's no snow. We're planning to try that this...

We were really looking forward to our snowmobiling tour with Farmhouse Snowmobiling and Go Karting, but unfortunately, we couldn’t make it due to extreme weather conditions. We had rented a cabin off the beaten path in Lake Saranac for the weekend, and despite planning ahead, the snow plows didn’t come in time to dig our car out in time for us to make it to the tour. Given that this is an area known for heavy snowfall and high accumulation, we hoped the company would be a bit more understanding or offer some leeway in terms of a refund.

Unfortunately, their refund policy is extremely strict, and they wouldn’t offer any flexibility, even though the circumstances were completely out of our control. While we understand businesses need policies in place, it would be great if they could show some consideration for situations like this—especially in a location where snow-related issues are so common.

If you’re booking here, just be aware that if something unexpected happens (even weather-related), you’re unlikely to get any refund or rescheduling options. Disappointed that we missed out, but hopefully the other people who made it to the...

Our snowmobiling adventure with Farmhouse Snowmobiling in Lake Placid was absolutely incredible! We were a family of 7—4 adults and 3 kids, including our 3-year-old—and this experience exceeded our expectations in every way.

The guides were phenomenal, ensuring our group felt comfortable and safe throughout the tour. Since we weren’t as fast as the other guests, one of the guides stayed back with us, making the experience even more enjoyable and stress-free.

The tour itself lasted over an hour and was worth every penny. The scenery was breathtaking—straight out of a movie! At first, my little girl was nervous, but once we got going, she was all smiles and couldn’t contain her excitement.

I highly recommend this adventure to anyone visiting Lake Placid. It’s perfect for families and an unforgettable way to explore the winter wonderland...
