The day I visited (for the first time ever) it was a very nice warm spring day. There were a few people there, some just hanging out, others launching there boats. We've again on a much hotter day and it was pretty packed. I can only imagine how busy this place is on a hot summer day. I would suggest if you're planning on a day trip there to leave early, get there early to pick a nice spot to set up your beach stuff, picnic, ect. I must definitely want to visit again but be prepared with proper seating and supplies. Have a great summer everyone!!

Free to park to put your boat in. 2 boat trailers can be backed into the water at the same time, one on each side of the dock. Dock has padding too. Dock is also very sturdy and it’s not an old wood dock. The ramp is a nice concrete pad that has good traction for tires or walking down to your hitch. Doesn’t seem to be any bathrooms that I could see otherwise I would have given 5 stars.

Not recommended to go there on the weekends bc it's always packed. People do not respect each other and many fights take place. Other than that, it's great to launch during the week.

Nice place to launch on Sacandaga. Free parking. It does get busy on the weekends, but everyone expects it and is pretty laid back. It actually moves along pretty quickly most of the time. The trailer parking did fill up on a hot sunny Sunday afternoon so recommend getting out early. Short cruise over to Sand Island, it's just to the right as you pull out from the short channel. Porta potties are on the right before the loop that goes to the ramp. Basic DEC...

Grooved concrete, dual ramp, boat launch. Modern, 6 ft. Wide, aluminum dock system in the middle. Clean, swimmable water. Clean, no-smell porta-potties, including one for handicapped. Plenty of double-long, pickup-truck-with-trailer, parking spots. Combination rock/sand beach (chairs preferred). We launched kayaks from the side of one of the hard surface boat launch ramps with motor boats coming or going - there was plenty of room, the ramps are...
