The day I visited (for the first time ever) it was a very nice warm spring day. There were a few people there, some just hanging out, others launching there boats. We've again on a much hotter day and it was pretty packed. I can only imagine how busy this place is on a hot summer day. I would suggest if you're planning on a day trip there to leave early, get there early to pick a nice spot to set up your beach stuff, picnic, ect. It actually moves along pretty quickly most of the time. The trailer parking did fill up on a hot sunny Sunday afternoon so recommend getting out early.
