AK Wine & Liquors — Local services in Town of Brookhaven

Wow, not only is this place super close to home but it’s SO beautiful inside and has an AWESOME selection!!! Chatted with the owners father who also works there, after grabbing a white whine, he took the time to go in the back & grab me a very cold bottle, which was very sweet! Not to mention he said if ever there is something in particular I am looking for and his store doesn’t carry, they will be more than happy to order it. Really love to see a business go over & beyond for their customers.

I recently stopped by AK Wine & Liquors in Farmingville, and it was a fantastic experience! The owner was incredibly knowledgeable about their selection and took the time to recommend two excellent white wines that perfectly matched what I was looking for—one crisp Sauvignon Blanc with bright citrus notes and a more rounded Chardonnay with subtle oak undertones. Both were spot-on hits at my dinner party. The store has a great variety of wines and spirits, including some unique local options, and the atmosphere is welcoming and well-organized. The owners, Colleen and Dieren (sorry if the spelling is incorrect) provide such warm service. Not only are they incredibly personable, but they go out of their way to aid their customers in whatever manner they need. Whether you’re simply looking to try a new wine, or are interested in learning about them, they have the answers for you. They have a wealth of knowledge to share.

The prices are great, and they offer a wide selection. You can guarantee that I will be there once everything is back to normal and they start tastings again.
