Review for Sunday Airsoft
This past weekend was my first time at this facility, and it was definitely an enjoyable experience. The staff were all very friendly, and they had a LOT of people working. There were also a lot of people at the facility for paintball, but that wasn't a problem at all, the only downside with the amount of people there was that we had some downtime between matches while we were waiting for a field to be available. The fields were the true selling point of this place. They are all well constructed in a manner that promotes a fair and even gameplay from either start point, and they are all constructed with a theme. It's not just random obstacles in a field, these are actually well designed play areas. For example my favorite fields were the WWII field, which included a mix of military vehicles, trailers, and a aircraft fuselage. On top of the physical obstacles the landscape was also built with drastic elevation changes, creating a really fun and exciting game play. My other favorite field was the castle, which is oriented for CTF gameplay. This was constructed all with large stone blocks, and included a multi-level style of gameplay, with a lower play area, which sat below the built up fortress walls. This led to a lot of interesting firefights, and a lot of strategic planning to use the different levels to gain an advantage on the enemy. I really only have two negative comments about this place. For one, there isn't anything store wise for airsoft here. There are no airsoft rentals, and you cannot buy more bb's or anything on site. I know this is a paintball facility, and I am glad they are including airsoft here, but it would be so much better if they included airsoft equipment in the store. With how things are now, I really feel like the price is a little steep. Yeah the fields are great and the staff has to get paid, but as I mentioned there really isn't anything offered here for airsoft, and we spent a good part of our time there waiting for a field to use. I will be back though, and if anything changes ill...
Read moreI used to play at high velocity when it first opened in the early 2000’s and loved it then. Took a hiatus as I had a family and came back to paintball earlier this summer and started playing again at high velocity with my son and we have been having a blast. As far as the field and the people go, the fields are well kept and have good cover and spacing and both starting points have their pros and cons so there is no advantage to starting on either side. The people that run the place and work there are top notch and extremely friendly and develop a relationship with each group. They are extremely concerned with safety and then next on their list is to ensure everyone has a good time. As players arrive and depart they change up the teams to ensure both sides are as even as possible. They have a very well stocked pro shop behind the front counter and can do repairs on site. While I have played on bigger sites at other locations the fields are extremely fun, games are quick and everyone I have met from the owner, manager, staff and players have been wonderful. If you are looking for a walk on game as a first time player or you play every day there is a spot for you. Their group rates are extremely reasonable and you will have your own field with your own refs that will stay with you through the day.
I heartily suggest trying this place and saying hi to the staff. You won’t regret a...
Read moreIf you are looking for a paintball field where the the staff shows no care, a place where management is awful and the field is not up to par ...than this is not the place for you. High velocity is none of the above. I've been playing on this kick ass field for 4 years now and it never gets old. From the moment you get there you feel the camaraderie. Beginning with the awesome management of Timmy to the attentiveness of each staff member like Nate ,to the care and passion that's shown by Mr.Arnold, there is without a doubt an amazing feeling that overwhelms you when you feel the care shown to you by all who work there. The fields are amazing from a cenario field that resembles a combat zone during WWII, to a more gun Ho field that brings you back to the west, to even the towering castle that always has its flags waiting for a brave knight or fool to try to over take it ,the adrenaline rush inducing field is sure to have the perfect map for you. What really makes this place the s#!t is the players that come from many different places and become what seems as a brotherhood when they play. High velocity paintball is without a doubt a place where you are going to feel the best adrenaline rush know to man and will definitely enjoy every bang...
