I was born an raised in Mt Tremper. This was my favorite hike growing up. The views are phenomenal. Every time I get back to NY to visit family this hike is on the list. This is a wonderful place to hike alone, with friends, and family. Make sure to wear proper hiking gear so you don't get hurt. This hike will give you a workout but it is worth every minute. It is about 2.5 miles long. As others have mentioned by others be careful of snakes. There are hotel ruins on the way to the top that you can get some photos of as well. The hike was about 5 miles round trip and takes it about 2-4 hours depending on your pace. The views at the top were incredible.
