We spent 4 nights here with our 2 teens. This is an excellent option for the east side, I would highly recommend! |-Location is great. We spent a day in Waterton (1 hour away), 1 in Many Glacier (30-45 minutes) and then took the shuttle from St. Mary's visitor center up to Logan Pass 1 day. It was also close enough (15-20 min) to drive to Rising Sun to hang out by the lake in the evenings. We did not end up having a day to go down to Two Medicine. No trouble driving back to Kalispell to the airport for an 12pm flight the day we left (just over 2 hours) |-Spacing on their property felt private and quiet. We used the firepit one night which was nice. |-Cabins themselves were clean, new. Loved the porch and the excellent mattresses. Having AC option was nice as it was quite hot there in July. |There is NO cell service in the area around the cabins, so having the Wifi was key. Make sure to download directions before you leave in the mornings. There is spotty wifi on the road to St. Mary's but can't always access info. |-Having the kitchen was fantastic. Restaurants are limited on the East side, especially if you don't want to spend a lot of time waiting during high season, so being able to make some meals/pack lunches is VERY helpful and convenient. Groceries are limited also though, so stock up on the West side if you can. We detoured through Cardston (Alberta) to get a better selection of groceries at the end of the day we went to Waterton BUT beware that the border crossing from the US to Canada that takes you back from there (Carway) closes at 6pm! (even if google maps says 10) so we needed to add quite a bit of driving to the other border crossing. |-Sanford was AMAZING. We had an urgent issue our first night and I felt terrible texting him at 9pm, but he came right away and took care of it. Top notch service. And Puppers...
Read moreWe loved our stay at Park Cabin! We luckily stayed with Park Cabin after a last minute decision to pop into Canada while on the East side of Glacier and Park Cabin had only one night available for their two bedroom cabin. They let us book and it was perfect. There aren't many options on that side of the park to stay and we were worried that it was a bit overpriced but it was well worth the money! There are only 4 cabins and so it is very peaceful and serene. The cabins themselves are simple yet very comforting, especially after a full day of hiking and pushing your way through crowds. The beds are so comfortable! We appreciated the little touches as well, such as comfortable and peaceful porch seating, a fire pit, and the fact that they dispose of all trash off site so you don't have to deal with unwanted visitors of the furry kind lol I think the best thing about Park Cabin Company is the fact that they are fully invested in your stay. We received emails and updates about park events and road closures, dates and changes about going to the sun road reservations, hiking tips, and once they found out we wanted to enter Canada they even helped us out with the border crossing by letting us know about what was needed due to covid restrictions. We would definetely stay again!! Thank you Park...
Read moreI've stayed at many places in and around Glacier National Park, and this was, by far, my favorite! First, the cabins are newly built with style, practicality and comfort in mind. The space was immaculately clean with so many thoughtful touches.
The kitchen space was perfectly stocked, beds were comfortable and shower was warm with great pressure. Since I was flying for this trip, I was relieved to leave my camp materials at home. This place had everything I could need beyond my own personal hiking gear.
The hosts were incredibly kind and helpful. They live there year round, so they provided excellent recommendations for food, hiking and historically significant sites. Also, their gift shop had amazing merchandise! Great place to buy quality, Montana-made goods.
The location is key. Many other camping and lodging options can feel quite crowded. This location at Duck Lake is a bit outside of the park boundary to avoid the crowds, but still so close. It provides a bit of solitude and makes you feel like a local.
As with many locations around GNP, reception is spotty. They provide Wifi for you to text and communicate with them should you need anything. I had the most amazing time staying here, and I will definitely be booking with Park Cabin...
