U.S. Customs and Border Protection - Piegan Port of Entry — Local services in Town of Cardston

Regretfully, I experienced abuse and misconduct firsthand at the Piegan Port of Entry.

During a secondary inspection in April while dressed in flip flops, shorts and a light shirt, Agent Bauman (EEE7AIG) forced me to wait in the cold that lasted three hours. She even unlawfully denied me a supervisor when I requested my warm clothes. I developed a respiratory infection a day later.

I did my part and submitted a formal complaint with CBP and DHS. After an unsatisfactory response with CBP, I escalated my case to the Commissioner's office beyond the Field office level.

Serious stuff, and could have all been avoided if Agent Bauman was professional! I believe Agent Bauman is the only female agent that works there. Avoid her at all costs!

I am a U.S. Citizen that has never had any trouble with the law. Very unnecessary and sickening...

This review is for the mountain pass highway south of the border between Baab and this crossing, not the border crossing itself. I do not recommend driving this way through the States at all unless it is summer time with dry roads. I drove this way yesterday through highway US 89 which is narrow and winding though tight spots. With white out conditions and icy roads is super dangerous!! The American highway section doesn't seem to get much plowing done. The highway closed without notice which is what happened to me, 20 miles or so from the border. I recommend passing through Sweet Grass, MT, which is a much safer drive and faster...

This is the only Port of Entry located within a 3 hour radius of the east side of Glacier National Park that has regular hours and is open year-round.

Wait times for entry into the US can exceed 2 hours during peak season hours.

When traveling north intending to make entry into Canada, remember to take Highway 464 when leaving Browning in order to avoid the long travel time along Highway 89 from Browning to the Port of Entry.
