You will never regret choosing Thirsty Fruit Farm. In a world where people are increasingly disconnected from their food's sourcing and growers, the CSA at Thirsty Fruit Farm provides a refreshing change. Their practices are organic and more. For example, I recently learned that Krista actually hand-picked squash bugs off plants this year so that she wouldn't have to spray even organic sprays. I never worry about what's on or in my produce. It's picked at peak taste, and is always amazing. I can trust that these things are true, because I see Krista and Brad every week when I pick up my veggies, and can see and trust that they are practicing what they say. The CSA is so flexible too - you never end up with 30 turnips your toddler won't eat in a week because you get to choose what you want each week. But also - be bold and try new things! Because they pick veggies at their peak for taste and not for transport, you'd be surprised how much better veggies you didn't like as a kid taste directly from the farm. Not only do they farm well, but Krista and Brad and incredibly kind. My 2 year old found a stick she liked to play with on their farm while I pick up veggies. Instead of tossing it aside, Krista actually has kept it out specifically for my daughter to find each week. It's small, but so kind. She takes this care with your food. Imagine that.

I love the set-up and experience at the farm - you can purchase the farmer's weekly curated box of the most delicious in-season produce, but there's also always room for customization and adding on additional items each week. Since you pay week-to-week, you can skip a week if you're going out of town, so you're never wasting money or food (although you'll rarely WANT to skip with so much to try). The produce has been fantastic across the board, clean and long-lasting. Krista and Brad (the farmers) are creative with what they plant, care greatly for their crops, and are genuinely really nice people. Makes it fun to stop by every week! ...

We had a great experience as first time members of the Thirsty Fruit CSA this year! The vegetables were reliably delicious, clean, and ready to be eaten or used for cooking. It was fun connecting with and seeing Krista and Brad (and Margot, the dog) at work on the farm while we picked up our weekly farm share. They truly care for the farm and...
