Very poor customer service.Purchased a John Deere LA115 around 10yrs ago, new from this business.This mower has slipped and destroyed mower belts since it was brand new.Only used for 1/2 acre yard, destroying 1or 2 belts per season.I would go to the store and buy a new one.NEVER!!! NEVER, did they question why! Finally people told me this isn't normal.So, when purchasing yet another belt I asked them about this.The response was half laughing something must be wrong on the deck.Really!!! They assembled it.We had already removed the black safety harnesses trying to preserve the belt, as long as possible.They tried to SELL me new deck parts.Ridiculous.While under warranty they should have noted and addressed this issue. Now,my mower is around 10yrs old.Never out in the elements. No mowing during hot temp.wait until evening.Washed and cleaned after using.The battery is a 1yr old John Deere brand.Have it serviced ( my mechanic comes)every spring to service and replace with John Deere Kit-purchased from them.It won't start, suddenly.No leaking,no need to ever add oil, or strange engine sounds-ever.I called to ask what this might be? My ride on tractor was smoking prior to the service. I asked the dispatcher if the tech could take a look at the tractor prior to servicing and give me a call with an update. NONE of that information was provided to the tech and the tech preformed the service and called me to let me know my headers (engine) was leaking and the tractor might go anytime.
If he had called like I asked, I wouldn't of had it serviced. The service Manger provided a slight discount off the service, however I still had to pay over $200. I understand there was some work done, however the miscommunication cost me an additional $50 bucks in service charges that I wouldn't of gotten.
It's a real shame that this company rather eek out $50 bucks this one time vs. taking a real responsibility. I would be very careful hiring someone from the Chittenango branch of this company. Obviously they don't want to build a relationship with a small home owners.. maybe just the...

John Deere quality equipment speaks for itself -- but you have to have the support and caring behind it to make it all work. My father and I have bought multiple tractors, mowers, and accessories from Brad and Scott there -- and at times have resold things thru them. So honest, so caring -- that is what you want behind your John Deere. Sadly, I am leaving the area, but even on the cold day I was moving, they took the time to work with my mover to get my equipment on the truck.!!
