My husband and I planned a private sleigh ride for the last day of our vacation; we were extremely excited and were looking forward to it the most out of everything else we did over the weekend. About an hour and a half before our ride time, we received a call from Circle B telling us that their private sleigh broke. They told us that we could either reschedule for another day, cancel, or get on another ride that night. We asked if we could try to get on another ride that night since we were leaving the next day and could not reschedule. The lady on the phone then told us that she would have to check with her manager and call us back. After 30 minutes, she called us back and said that they could not get us on another ride and that we would have to reschedule or cancel⊠we ended up having to cancel because we were leaving the next morning and the earliest group ride they had available wasnât until 3:45 PM.
The whole situation was very frustrating as they obviously have no plan in place for this situation. They offered us another ride and then said that it was not possible. Being that many of their customers are most likely vacationers, you would think that they would have a better plan in place than rescheduling. They also did not offer any type of compensation despite the inconvenience they caused or seem very interested in being accommodating. There was no effort put in to trying to work out something with us. We are not upset that the sleigh broke down; we totally understand that things happen. We are, however, quite underwhelmed by their customer service and think they should be more prepared for when these types of things, inevitably, do happen.
Edit: We were told that we could reschedule for the next day and the earliest time they had available was 3:45 PM, or cancel our ride altogether. No discount was mentioned, no other accommodations were made, and no compensation was given. Again, we completely understand that the incident was most likely a one-time fluke. We are not upset at that. However, effort was not put in to make our experience less disappointing and it is clear that no plan is in place to deal with such things. They accomodated us as we made a mistake with our reservation. We were very grateful. The ranch is pretty, they are very polite. They do take a picture at the end if you ask them to.
That's all the good i can give.
The horses are blackened by dirt. You pet them and you get your fingers caked from grime. Literally. I have never seen horses that dirty. The trail bas absolutely no view. Its in the woods. No view at all. We did beaver damn. It was an about turn and that is it. The guide that took us was very very quiet. I asked if we could trot a bit since there was a small straight path arriving from the trail to the ranche and it was a nope. No other comments. The horses stand all day tied to the post in saddle. Doing nothing. My heart went out to them. I have horsebacked and taken care of horses before. We usually have them inside in shade, unsaddled. If out they can roam freely. If saddled its kept to at most 1 hour to 2 while waiting for guests. We also wash our horses.

   Read moreI absolutely love this ranch. My family and I go riding every summer. Usually, we ride with other ranches, but last summer, we came across Circle B Ranch. It looked so lovely to us, and I could see the horses were healthy and strong. It was my special day, so I chose this ranch! The staff were so kind. This was May 2023, and my birthday. After we rode horseback through the very beautiful - 1 hour trail loop, the staff handed me a box of gourmet chocolates that they sell in the shop, I assume. The chocolates are dangerously delicious!!đI was absolutely taken away. I did not expect anything from them, I was only excited to ride horseback on my birthday and proudly said so, lol! How thoughtful they all are to surprise me like that after such a good and much needed ride. They definitely made my last birthday even more special for me. I can't wait to go back. Their kindness, and the well cared for horses, along with the beauty of the ranch.. all made such a positive impact on me to the point that I'm updating my 5 star review now, in winter.. with this description because we are definitely already making plans for summer 2024!
