Jack Greco Custom Furniture — Local services in Town of Chili

To start I have to say shame on my wife and I for not reading reviews before doing business with Jack Greco Custom Furniture. Our experience played out to a T as every other bad experience with this business.

We ordered a bedroom set in January for our baby due in June. At time of purchase Tom Greco (more on him later) assured us it would be ready by end of February or latest early March. That worked to give us time to get the room ready for baby.

Obviously we did not expect Covid to shut things down. But based on our timeline we assumed the bedroom set was ready to go and just waiting to be delivered into NY from Ohio. Why did we assume that? Because every call to this place we were told it was ready to go once the travel ban was lifted.

That was lifted, we called, no furniture. But, we were assured it would be on the next truck coming Monday. This cycle repeated for 4 to 5 weeks of assurances it would be on the next truck, told they would call even if it wasn't, no call, we'd call and nothing.

Once my wife gave birth in June, they finally showed some compassion and offered a loaner set since nothing was ready.

More of the same, call, and  get the run around. Always next truck, always.

We are now into September and we finally get the call things are in. My in-laws, suffering through this with us and graciously offered to get the set, wanted money off for this inconvenience. They were offered gift cards to the store, which they declined because why would they want to shop here again?

They pressed for money off the set based on assurances made by Tom. Come to find out Tom has been let go for making these promises of quicker turn around for furniture than "usual." Pressed more they blamed Covid. Pressed more they sent them to Jack himself. Jack's response was file a complaint with the Attorney General, he was kind enough to offer the number, then hung up on them.

I'll give them quality products, but terrible customer services, terrible logistics control, and a rotten owner. Never going back there and encouraging my friends, family, and other Google users to...

I would love to place a 5-star review as the furniture in the shop is beautiful! However, I have not been able to review my delivery, as it has not arrived yet. Even though today is July 6th, and my ordered was placed February 12th! I was told it would take 12 weeks for delivery. I have contacted them several times since the missed delivery window. Each time I am told things such as..they “are 99% sure it will be on Monday’s truck”....”we will call you back if it’s not”....and when I stopped back into the store to speak directly with someone, I was told they have no way of communicating with the Amish—really, then how did you place the order? I was then told that they, themselves were driving to Ohio to make a pick-up, and anticipated my order would be delivered within a couple days after they returned; and if it was not ready, I would “definitely” get a call. I’ve heard nothing! Plus as I was leaving the store, the salesperson had the audacity to say, “remind me about this on your next purchase and I’ll make it right for you”,...are you kidding me? All I want is the furniture I ordered (almost 6 mos. ago). Sadly, I love the furniture carried by Jack Greco’s, but I will never shop there again-and I warn others. Buyer beware! Their policy is written on the back of their sales receipt, and offers the seller no recourse. Lesson learned—read the small print!

What a wonderful place with such wonderful people! I truly can't say enough great things about the quality of the furniture as well as the people that work there. We made several purchase from Jack Grecos and it's not to often you get to deal direction the owner himself. Jack himself took time out of his busy day to make shore we got exactly what we wanted. The furniture came In just in time for my nieces wedded we were having people over that night, wowsa! Yet, I was not to fret! Michelle, the store manager called me Right away and even rearrange the schedule the delivery schedule for the whole day just to make sure we got our table and chairs on time . ! What a wonderful experience! I know the consensus is that it takes them a little while to call people back from what I've heard but that's because people really need to be more patient what you're getting with this fine furniture store with top-quality furniture made out of solid wood coupled with the old world experience of doing business directly with the owner himself to himself and his family go above and beyond to make sure all their customers are stratified. we couldn't be happier with Jack and his furniture it truly is beautiful and our experience has been nothing...
