The guard did say the earliest they allow check in is 2 hrs before. But if they’re not too busy they may allow you in earlier. After the guard shack, they send you to a gravel lot and walk your paperwork in, you get a little badge issued to you to get through a revolving door.
Once unloaded is completed they give you a call and paperwork is left in your trailer.
There is a bathroom inside the check in office, small vending machine as well.
Doors are tight but the lot is fairly big so not a big hassle. Unless you get a driver that’s crooked like what happened to me so I had to inch around him too at least have my trailer squared off with the door.
From my experience only doing a 4 star rating bc although I got in hours before my appt I still sat in a dock for almost 5 hrs. Too be fair my appt wasn’t till 2300 and I checked in around 1600. Still got me out by 2100 but i would’ve liked to get out earlier if I was allowed a door early. Don’t think I’m asking...
Read moreThis is my experience an my opinion super nice friendly people thru security check in thru warehouse check in second time here thru two different brokers but experience has been same appt time was 3 pm bad communication. between them an broker so mine was 8 pm had to leave an come back can check in 1 hour before appt time came back 7:55 pm sat til 3:12 am next day got door unloaded at 4:30 am for a partial load not even half of 53 ft trailer last time was same unfolding event with full 53 ft load what a horror show !!! Appt time apparently means nothing but others would come in get in dock unload an be gone while I an few others waited extreme length of time both times for me so there load was critical I will assume . But will not be a 3rd time !! Actions of places like this make trucking superhard not to mention lost preplanned load just a nightmare !!! Only good is getting...
Read moreSix and a half hours on their dock with the reefer running at minus 20 for ice cream, with trailer doors open, wasting my fuel. Reefer alarm was going off because doors had been open on their dock for so long, it was continuously going into defrost mode. Took another hour and a half to get paperwork after unloaded. And to top it all off was charged five hundred and twenty five dollars for a lumper fee. And that's all after early dark of the morning blindside right hand back onto last dock. You don't want the last three docks 22, 23, or 24, because you don't have enough room to auto rotate, so you have to back all the way down to them. Both the gate security guards were real nice, as was the lady in receiving, but not a conducive facility...
