Heinles General Store — Local services in Town of Cochecton

Vijay and his staff extended a warm welcome to me and a group of friends to share some snacks after a rafting trip down the Delaware. The restaurant is not yet open, but when it does, it will be a jewel in the area. The space has a lovely dining area, comfortable bar, and sound system, even the bathrooms are newly finished and well appointed. I love the idea that the new owners have put so many improvements in WHILE STILL retaining the original character of the place. They've honored the family by retaining the name and have the best gourmet sandwiches anywhere. I particularly recommend the flagship sandwich called the "Heinle". Well done! They destroyed this! I cannot believe the town of Cochecton Center allowed this! I was devastated. They retained nothing but the ceiling! I don't think they deserve one positive review on facebook etc. What a shame! Places like this have all but disappeared. I cannot support this establishment...
