Lake Huntington Summer Community — Local services in Town of Cochecton

A few friends and I stayed at 14C over the course of a week. The home was tidy, with plenty of porch space for entertaining. Amenities like soaps and towels were available to us, as well as a bunch of cooking essentials, making it easy to cook and eat throughout the week. It gets cool at night in the summer, but this was a particularly warm one so having the fans on is an absolute must. Arlene was kind enough to leave some tennis rackets and other sporty accoutrements to help liven up our stay. The mornings I would play some tennis, and in the afternoons we’d walk to the lake and sit in the sun. Overall, it’s an incredibly friendly community of owners and renters, making it easy to enjoy life out of the city. There are markets a ten minute drive away, so late evening grilling is never a hassle. There’s also a pool if the lake isn’t your thing!

I could go on and on about all the good things, but it will always be the people that make it good. Bring a few friends, crack open a cold one, and appreciate the slower and the calmer...

A wonderful co-oped bungalow colony of 50 families in the Catskills where we have spent summers for 25 years. The kids grew up here and keep coming as adults. I’ve made lifelong friends here. An amazing place to visit for all-ages—the perfect vacation. It's a beautiful area; everyone is super-friendly but there's also peace and privacy; tons of things to do in the vicinity—including farmer's markets, antiquing, and great places to eat—but if you want to stay in the community you'll have a wonderful time too going to the beautiful pool, sitting by the lake, or relaxing outside your bungalow.
