The Bakery Cannabis Dispensary — Local services in Town of Colonie

The Bakery, as of writing this review is still quite new. So please keep that in mind while reading this review. This proprietorship does have a security officer located on premises; (this can be difficult for some individuals, who may be using cannabis for ptsd or other similar disorders.)

This business will scan your NYS ID card(s) to ping credit bureaus, Healthcare providers, and potentially law enforcement of your consumption. This is done several times on premises to confirm you're identity and make you feel as uncomfortable as possible. Liquor stores only ID if you look under 45. Beware: several cannabis shop owners have been known to sell data as well to 3rd parties for profit.

Products:

Typical NYS selection. Brands that are strangely priced and mid teir quality, with outrageously priced strain options. ( Nanticoke, heady tree, rolling green, etc...) Products are sold in typical packaging, plastic or glass containers with no moisture control in any of the brands tested.

Some labeling (heady tree) does not feature a production date, only a "use by" and "expire" date, which are the same date. This may be a violation of state laws.

Quality notes: While the product did burn well, it is obvious "quick cure" cryogenic methodology. Not necessarily the business fault.

Services: This location does have an open air ATM for your use, given a fee.

This business does offer several forms of product including edibles, pre-rolls, cannabis flower, hashish, and tincture.

There are two points of sale, with fairly knowledgeable, young staff that are willing to help. The interior is bright colors and a minimalist design, and flows quite well.

Prices: The prices here are a little cheaper than in other areas. Hopefully that stays.

Conclusion: Overall, The Bakery scores a 3/5 stars. We believe that while the store is new, it has some growing pains to work through and address.

Pros: OK selection (especially edibles), friendly staff, quick services, prices.

Cons: overbearing security (this may be a weird NYS thing), poor quality...

I found this amazing location and even had the pleasure of meeting the owners on 4/20 just before their closing time. Even the security guard was very pleasant and super positive which I can appreciate always!Amazing how nice they both were especially since it at the final stretch before closing time. I can’t believe how great then holiday blunt was I shared with a good friend I haven’t seen in a while, and a $1 pre-roll as a special. Out of the blue I now have a place to go that is only 2 miles away!!!!! So so happy to have found this location, and I will be back for my birthday this week for some goodies! Really cool displays in the store too of different strains that I think is awesome. Thank you for the great service and the great products! See you soon!!! Worth the drive! I had specifically arrived to purchase some cannabis from my favorite vendor nydanskter from this dispensary! I ended up with a mind blowing selection, and an experience of proof of quality right then and there! I was able to look, touch, and smell any cannabis that I wanted! In my perspective, that is The Best Way to sell a product to a customer. I like to know exactly what I'm getting for the price that I am paying. The staff was out of this world nice and relatable, I felt like family, and they certainly knew how to "tour guide" me on my quest for healthy, fresh, terpenes! Highly recommended...
