I was really disappointed when I called today and inquired about the possibilty of giving them a working, in great shape oven (my mom is redoing her kitchen and it is just taking up space in her storage room at this point) in exchange for a working dryer that I am desperately in need of. The woman on the phone immediately dismissed my question without even fully hearing it. The problem with that "policy" is that I would be giving them an item that is sellable and would actually sell for more most likely. The woman didn't even offer a reason as to why.
I do like the restore. I have found many items that I have either wanted or needed for reasonable prices. However, I don't plan to make them my first stop anymore. A simple request that would have worked out better for them in the long run (a used oven sells for more than a used dryer) was completely ignored and not even taken into consideration. Read moreThis place is great. Organized, cheap prices, everything clean. Employees are always nice, electronic products are always tested. You won't ever find something with corroded batteries or something that doesn't work and if you do you can return electronic items for 14 days. They don't use stickers that destroy products. There is always somewhere there to help you carry something out to your car if need be. And prices go down after a certain amount of time. 25% off then 50% off then 75% off.

Read moreFor the first few months after reopening this place was fantastic. Everything was priced the way a store that exsits because of the donations of others should be priced. Now they want $75 for a lamp with a ripped shade. The people responsible for this should really be ashamed of themselves. Please don't shop here. Force them to realize that they are not following their key value of ensuring everyone has a decent place to live. There are so many that rely on places like this to furnish their homes, and paying $150 for a tatteted and stained chair is not in the realm of reasonable. Please avoid this...
