Brought a 16U team in from out of state to play here. From a coach/player perspective, the fields are great. Turf is new, dugouts are well maintained and have lights in them for night play. Mounds were good. Field is quick. Backtops are short and the ball bounces off them pretty quickly. Fences are not particularly deep - 310' in some instances - so homeruns are possible. Batting cages are available for warmups, and there were plenty of areas to warm up arms, too. Backtop is netting and fence. TURF SHOES ONLY on this field - NO METAL.
Our parents were less excited about it. This field is run by a company that requires you to pay a daily fee or a weekend pass as a fan, and it is not cheap. All you get for that entry fee is a place to come watch a baseball game. No concessions. Bathrooms were large and clean. From a design perspective, they did not do anything to cover the seating area, so foul balls from other fields are a threat to fans, and there were many foul balls. There is a large Walmart about a mile away, so that is a plus, I suppose.
Players/Coaches - 5 stars. Fans - 3...
Read moreThis place is pretty good. The fields seem to be in amazing shape. They're still working on things but a few issues you'll notice if you go.
1- the bathrooms are near the parking lot. Which is pretty far away from the stands. 2- There's no netting between the four fields where fans sit. When there's multiple games going on, you have to constantly be on the lookout for foul balls coming your way.
There is a playground for little ones and that's pretty nice with three different age level sets. You'll see what I mean if you go. 3- Next to the playground is a pavilion with lots of picnic tables and a row of bbq grills. I think they're a little too close to each other and is a burn waiting to happen. The grills are between the pavilion seating and the playground. 4- Fields 3 and 4 don't have scoreboards and those are the only fields that softball seems to be played on. It's a annoying when you go get food or go to the restroom and don't know what happened while you were away.
Please note that this place is still being worked on so I'll update this when construction...
Read moreThis is a new sports complex for baseball. All field are artificial turf. Facility is very well maintained and restrooms are very clean. Some of the fields have protective netting to protect spectators from foul balls and this allows a much better view of the game.. Other fields have thick wire fences which impedes the view considerably. Grandstands are standard aluminum - I suggest bringing a seat cushion or a folding chair for better comfort. Surprisingly the complex does not have any kind of drinks or food available which is very inconvenient. Entrance fee of $20 per person per day seems excessive, all things considered. There is only one restroom which seems inadequate if there are multiple games going on and the walk from the far fields to the restroom can take 5 or 10...
